    110 Days to Go.........

Well, we're all in lockdown again and I'm back to shielding, although I was already doing that as we've been in tier 4 since Boxing Day. I got my furlough email through yesterday, and it's running until 31st March. I seriously hope I've had my vaccine by then.

Got a few things happening today. I've already been for a blood test this morning

Snap! My DH has gone for his 6-monthly blood tests this morning.  He has a telephone consultation with his consultant next week and needs him to have the blood test results in good time.  It's the first time DH has been out of the house for weeks.  He too is shielding again and I worry sick whenever he is anywhere near anyone else as his very poor immune system is why he needs to shield.  I'll be on tenterhooks until he gets home today. I'm praying he'll get his first vaccine  jab soon although I definitely will have to wait a good while yet myself.  How do you cope with your OH going out into the real world, for work etc, when you have to shield yourself?  I feel I need to join DH and totally lock myself away from the world too but part of me feels I need to go out for essential purposes.  I'm tempted to SORN my car as it seems silly and a total waste of money to have both our cars road-ready when neither is  hardly ever used. In some ways I could almost enjoy this slower pace of life that Covid has caused (in a weird kind of way) if I wasn't having to worry about DH all the time.

Oh bless, I know it's really hard. I purposely got my blood test at 8.10am this morning, as I knew there wouldn't be anyone else around. My GP surgery is really good, and you have to wait in your car until they call you, and then they come to the door to get you, so there's no chance of mixing with anyone else.

I'm very lucky as my OH has been able to work from home all this time. The last day he physically went into work was the 16th March, and that was the day they announced the shielding, so I begged him not to go in (he works in London and travels on the train and tube), so his boss was really good and let him work from home all this time. He hardly goes in any shops, just if we desperately need something, because we get shopping deliveries as I'm on the shielding list.

I hope your DH gets on okay and come back soon.

    109 Days to Go.........

Another £5 paid off the card today, so the balance is now £2,100. Can't wait for Friday when I can pay a bigger chunk of it off. My wages are looking a bit healthier than I thought. I earned £99 in overtime in the end, before I got furloughed, so I will pay that off for starters, but might even double it, which will really help me on my way to getting it down to £1,500 by the end of January.

I'm still plugging away at the surveys etc, but I still think they're a bit thin on the ground. Not much going on today. Our Iceland order is coming this evening, and we've got out broadband being sorted out today (upped our package for no extra money, so an engineer is bringing our new router to us, but not coming in the house). I think OH might go to his mum's this weekend (they are in a support bubble as she's on her own), so I might get a couple of days to myself.

Anyway, that's about it - roll on Friday!!!

I have looked at my Friday targets and written them all down, so I know exactly how much I need to clear each week to get the card paid by my birthday:

    Friday 8th January - £2,000
    Friday 15th January - £1,800
    Friday 22nd January - £1,650
    Friday 29th January - £1,500

    Friday 5th February - £1,400
    Friday 12th February - £1,300
    Friday 19th February - £1,150
    Friday 26th February - £1,000

    Friday 5th March - £900
    Friday 12th March - £800
    Friday 19th March - £650
    Friday 26th March - £500

    Friday 2nd April - £400
    Friday 9th April - £300
    Friday 16th April - £150
    Friday 23rd April - £0

Looks simple when it's all laid out like that. I can't fail!!!

    108 Days to Go...........

I finally have some additional earnings to pay off my card!! I've paid £10 off courtesy of Panelbase (claimed it over Christmas), so the balance is now £2,090.

Nothing going on today, so will keep on plugging away at the surveys. I received a £20 Amazon voucher yesterday from a study I did before Christmas. OH is going to his mother's on Saturday after he has his flu jab, so I'll have a bit of peace and quiet this weekend.

    Payday tomorrow!!!
    :)

Another £10 paid off the card - balance is now £2,080. I redeemed for a £10 Sainsbury's voucher from Valued Opinions, and used it towards OH's mum's shopping, and got the £10 cash from her.
