    111 Days to Go............

No money in today to pay off the card, so I have sent £10 over, making the balance £2,110. Need to take it a bit easy, as both OH and I get paid on Friday, so don't want to overdo the payments from our account before then. When Friday hits, I will make a larger payment to get it below the £2k mark.

I listed my 5 items last night, and one already has a bid. Not much, but hopefully I'll get at least £10 by Sunday.

Otherwise, not much going on today. Going to work away at the surveys, and try to get an article or two to write. My Hello Fresh order has already been delivered, and I've got to sort out our shopping order for tomorrow.

I seriously think they are going to announce another National Lockdown today. I don't see they have any other choice. Just wish they wouldn't dither like last time. Lock us all down until Easter and by then enough vulnerable people would have had the injection so that another lockdown isn't needed again. I'd rather have the lockdown in the cold, miserable months of the year than risk having to do it through spring and summer.

    Have a good Monday everyone

I agree a full lockdown is coming but maybe not yet.  They'll be dithering a while longer before they do it LOL.

Prolific seems to have burst into life again after the festive season.  I did 3 shortish and easy studies this morning and netted £5.25 in total, £2.60 of which has already been approved.

I'm interested in the Hello Fresh, not to buy it but to know how it arrives.  On the TV ad they open the box and it's full of all sorts including loose tomatoes and other stuff all jumbled together.  I'd worry in case it all got mashed up in transit.

Sorry, forgot to mention in my last post that I'm rooting for you in your debt-busting.  I'm debt free after more years than I can remember.  I've always been a yo-yo debtor/saver with miserable results.  Miraculously, I received a totally unexpected and gobsmacking PPI repayment for about £30k from one of the major High Street banks just before the reclaim deadline date.  Came in the nick of time and cleared my debts in full, hopefully once and for all.  Now I'm going to reclaim the tax paid on it after reading something from Martin on the main website.  Just need to root out my tax details so it could take some time LOL.  Did you get a PPI payout, if you don't mind my asking, and have you reclaimed the tax paid on it?  Might be a nice little earner for you.

I think you're right. This government seem to dither over everything, when everyone else can see what is needed!! I've only had one Prolific survey today, worth a measly 13p!!! Hopefully I'll get some more soon.

Hello Fresh has the ingredients in paper bags inside the box, and they are numbered to correspond to the recipe cards you get with it. The fresh stuff (meat, dairy etc) gets put into a cool bag with a freezer pack. I just put it all, bags and all, in the fridge. I got the Gousto one once, and it was worse. No organisation, and the ingredients were just left loose in the box. It took me a while to work out what went with which recipe, so I didn't use them again. Hello Fresh are definitely the better ones in my opinion.

Well done on clearing all your debts. I did have some PPI back a couple of years ago, think it was about £3k. I'll look into the tax stuff when I get the chance. Every bit helps. Good luck with yours.

    110 Days to Go.........

Well, we're all in lockdown again and I'm back to shielding, although I was already doing that as we've been in tier 4 since Boxing Day. I got my furlough email through yesterday, and it's running until 31st March. I seriously hope I've had my vaccine by then.

I've only paid £5 off the card today, as we need to be careful so close to payday. So the balance is now £2,105. I will definitely get that down to under £2k on Friday. There wasn't much around at all yesterday earning wise. Couldn't get an article to write and I only had one Prolific survey. I did do some other surveys, but couldn't get any payout from any. Will try again today.

Got a few things happening today. I've already been for a blood test this morning (checking my new drug isn't damaging my liver), we've got a parcel being collected at some point, and we've got shopping coming tonight. I've also placed a big order with Iceland, as we've inherited a freezer for our garage, and I thought it would be a good idea to fill it up. Will hopefully deter us from getting takeaways, and will keep us going through lockdown. I'm also waiting for a call back from my hospital, as I missed their call yesterday. I personally think it will be to cancel my appointment next week, but we'll see.

Snap! My DH has gone for his 6-monthly blood tests this morning.  He has a telephone consultation with his consultant next week and needs him to have the blood test results in good time.  It's the first time DH has been out of the house for weeks.  He too is shielding again and I worry sick whenever he is anywhere near anyone else as his very poor immune system is why he needs to shield.  I'll be on tenterhooks until he gets home today. I'm praying he'll get his first vaccine  jab soon although I definitely will have to wait a good while yet myself.  How do you cope with your OH going out into the real world, for work etc, when you have to shield yourself?  I feel I need to join DH and totally lock myself away from the world too but part of me feels I need to go out for essential purposes.  I'm tempted to SORN my car as it seems silly and a total waste of money to have both our cars road-ready when neither is  hardly ever used. In some ways I could almost enjoy this slower pace of life that Covid has caused (in a weird kind of way) if I wasn't having to worry about DH all the time.
