I’ve just been the drs now and picked up a prescription for anxiety tablets twice a day so I’ll give them a go and blood forms which cover pretty much everything I was thinking so hopefully found out or rule out any clinical cause.

Yeah the kids know we get 2nd hand everything they really don’t care as long as they have what all the other kids have!

Tbf I’ve felt better the last few days I’m thinking the post-covid definitely elevated my anxiety but I am a little shaky as I type but I’m not as bad as I was.

Yeah I will probably look into incentivised bank accounts after xmas. I was thinking of a switch too. I have had my natwest since I was 13 and it doesn’t really have any benefits for me.

    Hope you’re well x

Glad to hear the Dr has prescribed something and that they are doing bloods to rule things out.  Hopefully you will feel more yourself before long :)

  • You'll be back on form soon, it doesn't help with the amount of pressure and stress you're under.

Have you signed up for their rewards as it does build up, just for doing nothing bar having your bills on DD.

  • Morning! What a killer week. I’ve worked 5 of the last 7 nights and I am now officially dying!

I started the medication on Tuesday and they made a massive difference. I’ve not had any palpitations or anxiety. I’ve even been chilled and laughing in work which is not like me 😂 I’m joking... it’s like the old me! Then last night I got another text off the gp and I have folate deficiency anaemia so that explains the headache, palpitations, fatigue and lethargy! I’m getting meds for that too so hopefully I’ll be back to myself and back in the gym in a couple of weeks to get this weight gain off 🤞🏼

The money hasn’t touched the sides of my bank this month. I’ve paid the deposit for DP hgv course yesterday and done a balance transfer from the credit card to cover the rest. Hoping he does it on the w/c 13th December, he’s just waiting on a phonecall. I’ve told him in no uncertain terms this is an investment in our future. If he continues to not work after this I’ll happily repay the £1500 and he will have to leave. I can’t be the breadwinner much longer.

Roll on next Friday! And keep everything crossed for correct wages this month. I have been doing one a week bank which has stopped me going further overdrawn.

I have been quite good this month. I haven’t spent a lot that I can think of. Got a couple of xmas bits for DS he wanted a VR headset for his ps4 and I managed to get one 2nd hand for £40 so that’s a mega bargain. Gonna get the 2 bikes with the help to save bonus on 1st December then just some bits and bobs to buy through December x

  • All positive on the health front and it's reflected in your post.

I'd go one further with OH and ask for the money back too. Hopefully this warning will be enough and you don't have to take the next step.

You've organised Christmas which reduces pressure.

Hi! I’ve just updated my signature and put my name in the hat for the MFW 2022 challenge. As you can see I seem to be slipping on here and with the OP. I guess it’s just that time of year really.

I’ve set a more achievable target of £1500 for next year. They will be op and I hope to contribute more to the emergency fund which I have changed it’s name to backup/ neutral fund as I’ve reached the £1000 target 🥳 and it’s still there if needed in an emergency.

Health wise.... the propranolol are great! No anxiety at all. The folic acid don’t seem to be making much difference to energy but we’ll see. It’s only been 10 days. I feel good though.

I’ve had a new couch as xmas present off my nan. She paid £2500 for it 2 years ago and it doesn’t fit in her new house properly so she’s gave it to me and even paid the £100 for the courier. The living room is 💯 better now! So homely and cosy.

Oh has started the course. Took to driving a HGV like a duck to water so hopefully it’ll continue through to the test! Then a job 🤞🏼

My help to save bonus still hasn’t turned up which is disappointing. From google/ MSE it looks like it’ll come on the 8th of the month rather than the 1st when it left my account.

Hope you’re all well. I’ve fell behind reading the diaries too. Just not enough time and too many distractions but I will try my best to catch up xxx

I glad to hear you are starting to feel better within yourself.  Hopefully soon the folic acid will also kick in as well and there will be no stopping you.  How nice of your nan.  I would love a new sofa but old one is still going so cant really justify it at the moment.

Fantastic news that OH is doing well on the hgv training.  Hopefully soon he will be bringing in a good wage and you can relax a little more.

  • Thanks for thinking of me @slm6002 yes the bonus came and went super fast! Tbh I’ve gone a bit overboard this year and I don’t really know why. I blame my best friend who has 0 concept of saving or living frugally. I’ve been her shopping buddy all month and it’s cost a lot.

I get paid the end of December pay tomorrow but apart from bills and Christmas food shop I don’t plan on spending a lot.

I have been great for weeks since starting that medication then about 10am this morning the worst flu ever has hit me. I had loads of very poorly patients in work yesterday so I’m thinking it’s from them. I’ve got a pcr in the morning, I couldn’t be that unlucky to get covid twice in 2 months though.

I don’t think I’ll be able to pay anymore mortgage this year. I’ll do my annual summary when I’m a bit more with it. I need to curl up now xxx
