Thankyou. I’ve stocked up on essentials like tins, bread and milk, dog food and a few pizzas and nuggets etc for easy teas so hopefully it’ll just be the odd takeaway on the evening to give me a break. It’s harder with the kids home as it means I have to do dinner and tea but we’ll survive! XMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Hi thanks for thinking of me! I’m ok. It’s like a bad flu. My head feels heavy and my lungs hurt but I’ll be ok! OH is better now he was bad for a full week.I got £50 refund off School because dd1 doesn’t want to go on a residential trip so I made it as an overpayment on the mortgage. I have just put a chargeback request in with my bank for those scam trainers I bought for DD1. I asked her how she found the website and it was a link off snapchat... I wouldn’t have even considered it if I’d have known. She won’t be able to have trainers for her birthday now unless I find some similar physically in a shop. I hate online shopping. We’ve had 2 takeaways which is probably what we’d have in a normal week so that isn’t too bad. I’ve been well enough to cook a meal still. Ooh and I have bought a new trailer for DP it was £40 and he’s got a job tomorrow for £50 so I’ll have the money back in the morning.I also got my xmas off duty and she gave me everything I requested so that’s me happy work wise. Goodness knows what pay I’ll get this month. Apparently covid doesn't go down as sickness and I’ll still get full pay but I’ll believe it when I see it!Not sure if there’s anything else to report. I seen the ML email earlier saying mortgage rates are gonna go sky high my fix ends in March so I’m hoping I get new product rates to lock in in December I might Just go for the longest fix I can 3-5 years to reduce risk. I can always save up a lump sum for the end of the fix if I ever get near the op threshold.I’ve been in the house for 10 days now. I’m starting to go nuts xMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Sometimes we can try and be too savvy when at times all it does is create additional pressure. With the mortgage look at picking another fix with your current lender and keep your original term. That keeps your payment at a lower amount, with the option of overpaying.
I hope you feel better soon and can make a break for freedom 😃Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Good morning! I thought I was over the covid. Done my 10 days quarantine and then went to visit my family in Leicester as planned but I’ve come home with the worst head cold. It’s torture. I am also back in work tomorrow.I got paid rubbish again.. £3300 pre deductions (2 months pay) then £1149 post 🙄 I was expecting it but it’s still poop.Money money money.... erm I’m plodding along. No better off no worse off. All debts going down none gone up. Hoping to bring mortgage down by £250 a month which is approx £109 op.It’s dd1 13th birthday next Saturday so I need to get her some bits. I’m hoping to do a little early shift this Saturday for her bday money and I really need to feel better and start working more leading up to Christmas. That’s it really. The mortgage is £4000 lower than the start. No sign of DP doing his lorry training. It’s near impossible to get on a course at the minute so the moneys still all on me. You're massively run down, under a lot of pressure and a magnet for bugs. DP really should be grabbing any job to help reduce the burden on you.
I can see why you're also fed up with the wages, that isn't great and the deductions are eye watering.
Hopefully everything will settle down and in the New Year you'll find your feet.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
You’re not wrong there @MovingForwards I am run into the ground. I’m on a night shift tonight so just trying to gather momentum to get int he shower in a minute. I’m still no better. Full of cold and anxiety.I’ve made a significant overpayment today of £11.02 😂 every little helps doesn’t it! I’ve had to pay a bill off yesterday of £340 that I wasn’t really budgeted for so now I have peanuts to get through the month. I’m gonna do an extra night tomorrow and hopefully a shift a week until Christmas will have me get through to the end of the year without resorting to credit.Ooh and I’m £25 off my £1000 emergency fund so I’ll have that next week! Fun times 😊 and my help to save bonus should come around the 1st December which is a free £280 ish for xmas pressies 😊 xxxMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

You've got to get rest and stop trying to cover so much financially for a while. Take a breather, then restart your plans as there's plenty of time to catch up.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2
