It's normal to feel this way, even having a promotion it still triggers a few things off.

Won't OH be around for the delivery or maybe you could swap shifts if need be. Someone will understand, especially if you offer the favour in return when they are stuck.

Try boiled chicken and rice, keep food plain and simple and if no improvement contact your vet. Make sure she's drinking loads of water to replace what she's losing.

It's really good news about your nan!

Please don't overdo it, you must get sufficient rest to cope with work and your OH should be doing a lot while you're out.

What is it with wages this month! Mine was messed up and I'm waiting to hear what they will do to sort it. Hope yours gets sorted out soon. I also thought bank was paid differently to permanent work.

    Hope your tendons settle soon.

You do have your wage agreement in writing, don't you? That stuff is really annoying, and HR/payroll departments never seem to understand what an impact these things have on people. Use the house fund, that's what it's for x.

Aww thanks for the replies. Dp has also been working on the house extremely hard so I can’t complain. It has meant he’s not been able to earn any money himself though which adds to the strain money wise. My wrist feels a little better today at least and most of the dirty/ heavy work is done! Just need to start putting it back together.

Work are just a pain in the backside. I did get the new contract in writing so I’ve called hr and they said there’s no reason I shouldn’t have been paid the correct money but they’ll have it amended. It’s just with it being a whole month.

There’s some sort of incentive for permanent staff I think there’s a bonus payment for overtime so she’s took the bank shift off and put it at overtime rate in my contracted salary so that in theory I would get more money but it didn’t work out like that with it being £5 an hour less then emergency taxed I basically didn’t get anything 😭😭😭 I need to speak to her and just say I want my extra shifts paid weekly so am happy to work for basic bank rather than the incentive.

I need to tidy up a bit for the plasterers to come. They’ve let me down the last 2 days I hope they come now. Then I’m gonna relax whilst they do their thing and shut the door on the bathroom for a couple of days for it to dry.

oh and work up the courage to log on my bank and see the financial situation lol Xxx

I hope the plasterers turn up and it will feel cleaner once they have done their bit.  Sit and relax and I hope when sorting your bank all will become clear what needs to be moved to what account.  It sounds like you need your bank work separate or you may as well not have worked at all for those shifts.  Very frustrating.  Anyway i hope you get to enjoy some down time and the sun shines where you are

Hopefully they will sort it out and ensure it doesn't happen again.
Take a deep breath and log in to your account, face it head on, as the quicker you know, the easier it is to sort out.
