Congratulations on the new job, and the progress on the mortgage and everything else you're doing! Well done!!1

Thanks everyone!! I’m regretting it today lol. The new system is as bad as I expected. It’s slowed everything down so so much the waiting time was 16 hours in a&e this morning... 🤯🤯🤯
once all the teething problems are over I think it’ll be ok. It’s just a learning curve for thousands of staff all at once but I suppose we had to move with the times at some point. I’ll get a bit more practice in tomorrow lol. And at least I’m earning money instead of spending! I’ll be booking holidays the minute I’m entitled 😂😂😂
aww well moan moan moan... at least I’ve been earning money instead of spending 🙂 xxx

Thanks @abba1772 I have a 0% card offer with my bank so I might see what that is and transfer the balance over to it if/ when I need to.I’ve been window shopping in IKEA today. Spent £40 altogether, I got a wall light for the new kitchen, pendant light (was whoopsie at £13.50), wine glass and a candle, oh and a lovely brass serving tray too. Got loads of ideas for when the kitchen is getting done but don’t wanna buy anything yet as the return window will be gone by the time I need it then it’s wasting money if it’s no good for whatever reason.Work was slightly more manageable yesterday and I think I’ll get used to it in a couple of weeks. I found myself having to use my mobile phone quite a bit though as the phones are scarce and you need to be at a computer to read the records so it was easier to use my mobile. It’s not a problem as I have a £10 goodybag with unlimited minutes but the wards don’t answer the phone to mobile numbers 🙄
I've got my £300 float replenished in both accounts so will be paying down the credit card with this weeks wages. I don’t have my off duty yet for next week onwards but I’m back tomorrow so I can ask again. I am really excited to be able to call myself an ED Nurse 👩🏻⚕️ 😊 I am so sad! Work will get easier as you settle in to the new way. Nothing wrong with being excited about a title, it's a great achievement.
Keep window shopping, when your kitchen is replaced you'll know what shops to pick your items up from.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

I had a moment of madness yesterday and have purchased a new shower, sink, radiator and tiles for the bathroom!!After mulling it over and hearing of other people experiences of ruining new kitchens with bathroom leaks because they’d left it until afterwards I decided it’s got to be done first. It’s all ordered now anyway. £300 deposit then £50 a month interest free for 24 months. Im gonna cover the payments by paying my car insurance annually in advance so then the bathroom will replace that direct debit (and still be £21 a month less than I’m paying now).I start work on Tuesday in my permanent role. Tuesday and Friday she’s put me in. I might do a little late Thursday on the bank but I’ll see how I feel. I don’t have a dispatch email for the bathroom stuff yet so if that’s here I’ll be just doing my basic hours whilst we get that fitted. It’s gonna be a diy job as I just don’t have the money to pay trades for everything and dp is competent at plumbing and tiling. It said delivery in 2-10 working days so we won’t do anything until it’s on it’s way.Somebody please remind me in 2022 that I am not doing anymore work in the house for the year lol!Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700
