I have no clue what shifts I’ll be working. I offered them my full flexibility 🙄🤦🏼♀️ I did email today but got no reply.I’m not really strict enough to budget down to categories eg car, kids, days out... I prefer just to have the float then make do with it. I do like a bit of spontaneity lol.I’ve just updated my signature. Only made £9.97 overpayment to round it down to the next £50. Waiting for my payslip tomorrow but I think I ‘should’ 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Still be better off this week than last ie net worth increased by about £50 rather than gone down. This is what I love about owning. Everything I pay towards the mortgage makes me better off in the future whereas the £40,000 I spent on rent in this house is just gone.On reflection not cockiness or showing off because I am acutely aware that my luck goes from good to bad overnight but I am the richest I’ve ever been in my life. I had been £1600 in my overdraft from the age of 18 (2005) to April 2020 and now I have £3500 readily available cash, plus a decent pension pot and equity in my house 😊 it’s crazy how quick you can turn it around when you put your mind to it! Just caught up with your diary. The kitchen looks lovely, it looks enormous compared to mine!
Isn't it a fantastic feeling to be in the back finally, it gets very addictive.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

It is addictive! I dread dipping into it lol. It’ll just be an incentive to work more so I can still pay for things outright and leave the cash intact! XMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

When I finally got out of debt (I think 2010) and stopped living in the OD, I couldn't believe how much of my money was actually mine! And like @Porridgecat said, staying in the black gets addictive.2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8563

MrP is frequently surprised to find that savings accounts in our house only work one way
You can put money in and then it stays there.

Happy Friday! I’m on my last day off of 10 and now the sun wants to come out because I’m going back to work 😭😭
ive been good this morning and paid £150 off the credit card instead of anything else. My 0% ends on 27th June and I now owe £550 from £1300 so I’m slowly getting there just gotta pick up pace. What happens if I still owe money after 27th??? Does interest start from then say it’s £100 or would it be backdated to when I opened in September? And would the interest be just on the £100 or the original balance since September? I think I’ll be able to pay it all off anyway but just wanna sort it all out in my little tiny brain lol.I don’t know what to do with that credit card once the 0% finishes. They’ve upped the limit again to £3700.. I was thinking close it but then I thought it could be used for a big purchase then throw it over to a new 0% balance transfer? Is that what people do?I’d love to get to 5% of the mortgage paid off this month 🤞🏼 I’m not too sure if that’s realistic with life starting back up and the credit card to pay. Thanks for that Legs... I thought that’s what it would be but I was mentally preparing myself for the worst.
im back in work today at 10. Feeling super anxious as we went paperless last weekend and I’m worried I won’t be able to cope 😭 I’m sure everyone else is in the same position but I have been having nightmares about it for the last 3 nights. I probably should have worked on the go live period instead of avoiding it then building it up more in my head!I start permanently on the 18th May 😃 got my contract in writing with correct salary so I’m happy! Just need to ask them about badges and uniforms now as mine are years old (and several sizes too small) so I need new ones.Just threw £11 in my house funds to round my current account down. Gonna stay on the credit card mission this month though.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

I hope work goes well today and paperless system was built up in your head more than in real life (I do that sort of thing!). Great news on getting your contract through with the right information on it. I bet that is a great weight off your mind.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
