Thanks everyone! I haven’t had any confirmation in writing yet about the salary so I’ll be waiting for that before I start permanently. It’s supposed to be 17th May so plenty of time!I got the £500 WTC payment today too. I wasn’t sure I was getting that so I’m happy. Not sure what to do with it. Whether to stick it in the house funds or just leave it in the current account as I do treat tax credits as the ‘kids money’ so it could take the strain off new clothes and days out etc over the next few months. I haven’t told dp as he’d just wanna blow it lol.The house fund stands at £2350 today! Think I’ll throw £200.01 on mortgage in a minute too so that’ll be to £66,999.99 so it’s in the next £1K! Wages wasn’t great today but I’m in a good little routine of spending very little now so I should be ok 👌
im just cooking a nice Friday Roast! Got Whoopsie lamb yesterday from £13 to £6 so I thought I’d treat us! I annoy myself as if think nothing of spending £50 on a rubbish pub tea But then count a roast costing £2 a head as a treat 🤦🏼♀️😂 xxxMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

I’ve been and got my kitchen design! I’m in love with it. I know you’re supposed to get multiple quotes but I’m gonna go with it. It was £8,200 fitted (£14,000 before offers applied) so the lower end of my budget. I’ve got almost £2500 and my nan is giving me another £2000 towards it so just need to find just under £4K. I’m going for the 3 years 0% finance but I am slightly unsure if I’ll pass the credit check but if I don’t I can scrape it together from other sources.I feel so so happy like I’m achieving my life goals! Here’s a little pic of the design. Unfortunately my glass show off cupboard is only available in frosted but it shouldn’t be too difficult to get that changed.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Thanks everyone. I’m going to put a deposit down in the morning. The only thing I’ve changed my mind on is the sink and tap. I scrimped on the cheapest stainless steel and I do t think it’s going to look good. I’m gonna go for a more expensive option. XMortgage started August 2020 £69,700
