Yeah it’s definitely the structural bit that costs. They would be going where the current back door and a 6 foot window are. I think I’ll leave them tbh as the balance of the value to the house is just off... there’s so much more beneficial stuff I could do with £6000! At least I put myself out there getting a quote!

We had phone consultation with nans gp and she failed the mini mental test... although it’s sad at least we’re actively getting her seen to now. They’re gonna do some bloods and then have another family consultation in a couple of weeks and refer her to memory clinic. Me my dad and my uncle were there, none of the rest of them ask so I won’t be going out of my way to update them cus they’ll just turn up acting concerned.

    Sorry I sound like a bitter little witch don’t I 🤦🏼‍♀️ Xx

It's a step in the right direction with your nan, first hurdle has been overcome now it's a waiting game for the next appointment.
If people want to know they can call you, there's no point putting yourself out.

Thanks for the replies. Awww @abba1772 I hope your Gran gets better. It is so so difficult isn’t it.

On a MFW front I’m still plodding along. This weeks pay is end of the month again so no savings or overpaying until everything has gone out. I’m back to working more now, was in yesterday, today and Sunday so hopefully have an extra couple of hundred a week coming in to put away for the funds.

I couldn’t sleep too well so woke up at 5:30 and have filled in the HR stuff for my job offer. I need to ring them though because it’s an internal job I’m not sure if I need to go through it all again or not. Xx

@FtbDreaming - Make it clear to personnel that you are continuing to do bank work.  They seem to have problems with this and when I left a contract position on the ward for bank work they took me off both.   They cancelled all my bank work off eroster. Real pain, someone else got my favoured wards/clinics.  I made it clear when I got another contract that I would be staying on the bank and didn't have a problem.

Still following you and your mortgage freedom campaign.

Thanks @Poppycat1 I’ll make sure I do that. I need the bank work for weekly pay.

I made a £50 op last night. Took my March op to £152 I’m aiming for £66,999 by the end of April lol. Should be easy now I’m working more hours.

I’ve just been having a nosey at broadband and car insurance prices. My deal with virgin ends in April and goes from £26 to £48 monthly. Can get bt fibre for £29.99 so if virgin don’t come up with a better price then I’ll go for the bt. Not sure when I should call them, the contract ends on 23rd April.

Also looked at car insurance just for a nose. It’s £69 a month at the minute and just looked and I might be able to pay annually for the first time ever. I was getting prices of £470 a year... it’s not due for renewal until June so I was just curious but that would be great if I could get rid of a monthly direct debit even if it comes out of house funds it’ll save me money in the long run!

I also need to look at changing gas and electric suppliers. I currently prepay and after a bad experience on a bill I would rather stay on prepay but the prices are going up a lot (£2.50+ a week) and most companies are insisting on smart meters now which I don’t really want but I suppose I’m going to have to move with the times.

The ccj I have which comes off in july was from a very catalogue when I was 21 and a student nurse on Mat leave. I’ve put in an irresponsible lending complaint asking for the interest back. Paid £2377 for about £600 worth of junk. I probably won’t get anything but it’s worth an email.

It looks like I need to set aside a life admin day this week to sort all the above stuff out and hopefully save some pennies x

Anything you can pay annually eg home / car insurance and car tax do it. That's less bills to find each month and the money can be earning interest sitting in your account.

The smaller utility companies are not hounding people to have smart meters. Have a look on citizens advice and which switch as they have a bigger range of companies.

    Good luck with the complaint.

I think you're right about the bi-fold doors, they look great but you could do a lot of other things with £6000.

Hello! Early payday this week! I forgot tomorrow is bank holiday. I’m working. I tend to work most bank holidays as I like working for the best pay lol.

I’ve updated all my numbers in my signature. Everything is progressing well. I probably won’t meet my MFW2021 target but I’ll continue to drip feed little overpayments. Roll on the 12th April when I can get in the showrooms and start getting kitchens priced up. I’ve told dp I need his best mate round ASAP too so he can give me a quote for the electrics in the kitchen. It is very dark which is why I wanted the doors but I’ll settle for lots of lighting instead.

I looked at the gas/electric and it looks like all companies are going up at the minute so I’m gonna hang fire for now and see if any offers come on to make it worthwhile (I got £75 amazon when I came to these).

My nan is going to hospital today for a pre-op assessment then she’s having a skin cancer removed from her face on Wednesday. She rang me at 11:30 last night she’s petrified 🤯 my heads a bit battered with it to be honest but she’ll be ok 🤞🏼 Xxx
