I understand you are having problems but if you spent over £200 in total, you would not get the £2 for £100 spend, you would get the £10 for £200 spend. Could it be they wait until the end of the month to issue these particular coupons?
They issue the vouchers as you get to them. I got the £2 coupon today and the app said that my next coupon - if I spend enough by the end of the month - will be the £10 one.
  • Thanks for correcting me. That's not how it read on their leaflet but having received their newsletter now, I just saw it on there.
  • Since posting four days ago have received another two e-mails from customer services saying that they are very busy and will be in touch. Yesterday I spent another £100 plus in my local Lidl and again had money taken off for the weekly coupons on the app but no £2 or £10 voucher, no scratch card and no receipts on the app. I am keeping my paper receipts and am hoping they will sort this out as from what I understand this promotion runs for three months and I will potentially be £36 out of pocket.
  • You really are having problems. These emails about being very busy, sounds to me as though they are haven't figured out yet how to sort you out. I hope you get it sorted and keep us updated. In my local Lidl Saturday, the cashier said her scanner wasn't working, so she had to input for everyone manually,

Well a bit of an update for me. Several times Lidl support via FB extended the time the £5 voucher was valid, saying that they were aware of the 'glitch' and it would be sorted soon. I was also advised to uninstall and reinstall the app, nothing changed. Each time it said the voucher was no longer available, although still within date. I basically gave up and the voucher date expired ad disapeared from the app. The next time I was shopping in Lidl the assistant asked me to scan my QR code, I said no point, there were no active vouchers. He said to do it so it would record my spend for a different voucher. I agreed, and low and behold it takes £5 off!! So its always worth getting it scanned. No idea how you get the scratch cards, but at least the £5 is sorted. It did appear very odd on the receipt, taking a tiny amount off each item. lets hope the glitches do get sorted, it might turn out to be a useful app :)

to get the scratchcard...open the app, look at the top right hand corner...the bell is your notifications. tap that, it will show you your activity...tap on the relevant transction it will give you the digital receipt and show you the digital scratchcard :)
Best headline ever on local paper??

  • Quick update. Went shopping again at Lidl Carmarthen on Saturday. Again the coupons for the weekly offers scanned from the app but no £2 or £10 voucher, saved receipt or scratchcard. I asked the cashier (think he was the duty manager) and he said that the app was not fully working just in that particular shop and they were working on it. I said I had spent over £100 each week for the last four weeks in September so should be entitled to £12 off. He replied that when the problem is solved that the vouchers will be backdated. Let's hope so as are nearly into the next month! Have received yet another automated reply from customer services saying they will be in touch shortly - it's only been three weeks! I tried ringing them the other day and hung up after 55 minutes listening to recorded banjo music.

Still enjoying the app, always use the same store in West Wales. I got my £2 off as I've spent the £100 within a month so used that last night & then got a £1 win on the scratch card.

I'm slowly but surely getting used to the app. The time limits for using the bonus coupons, and the weekly coupons, weeky offers and weekend offers are taking a it of getting used to, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. We qualified for the £10 off with spending over £200 in October, but lesson learnt as my other half did the last shop, and spent £50 over the £200 threshold with 'stocking up' items for Christmas etc. Had he waited and bought those extra things on Sunday that would have been £50 already towards Novembers total. Just a shame it doesnt roll over. Just means being a bit more organised.

I have found that you can use a scatchcard win OR the 'bonus £2/£10 with the weekly '5 off' coupons, BUT you CANT use a scratchcard win with a £2/£10 coupon. Worth noting that one can be used, but has to clear before activating the second one. If it clears quickly you can always do a second transaction. (Good for those that shop weekly and might loose one coupon before doing another shop)

Also all the '% off' coupon can be used at the same time, but only be used once, but can be used for several identical items, and/or items in the same category.

Its a new system that is taking some getting used to, its not cumulative like others, so you need to keep an eye on dates to work the system and maximise the coupons.

It's all a bonus though, as Lidl prices are cut to the bone already, I'm very surprised that they are offering extra discounts.
