Yes...it appears there are still issues....however I would suggest activating the relevant voucher whether it be the £5.00 off one or the 15% etc etc of this or that prior to even leaving home.  Then if there are issues follow the steps in my post of 29 August 2020 above. Lidl have had plenty of feedback and in theory free live app testing from me alone on the issues I raised!  They extended my deadline on the £5.00 off voucher several times until they got the app working so I could actually activate the coupon so it could be used in store.  Regarding the other post for staff not being able to scan it correctly again...this is no fault of the customer so ...they in theory should be able to extend, via my steps above.  It is upto Lidl to train there frontline staff and not the customer. It is clearly meant that they want you to use the app and have offered this £5 voucher to all that download it...therefore they need to do all they can to ensure that as part of the contract of your downloading and registering it you are able to do so.    You should have 14 whole days to be able to activate the voucher.  When you activate it or not does not add or take away from the 14 days so best to do this before you leave, the 14 days starts from when you signed up (which should have also been when you were able to activate it, if not get them to extend as above).  You will notice in the LIdl Plus Card button that is there that the count for number of vouchers activated will increase as well as the voucher saying it is activated.  I plan to finally use my £5 off voucher on Friday 11th September so will see how it goes.... however as my Lidl store is very close....if it does not scan and I don't get the £5.00 off in one way or another having complied with all that is contractually required of me, I will walk out and leave my shopping there. Anything else is advertising what is a promotion that cannot be used which amounts to false advertising at the end of the day.  That then should focus the minds of Lidl management to make sure that all aspects of a voucher works.... at the end of the day they could email the vouchers and set new expiry dates.  Or get the management and stores to have an over ride...there really is no excuse for a lot of the issues people have experienced.   Perhaps they should have done some basic testing even before 'pre' launching this app.

For those still experiencing issues you re vouchers not either showing or being able to 'activate' them, you may want to try logging out of the app and back in again.  This is done by selecting 'More' at the bottom right, and then 'Profile', then 'Log Out', and pressing the 'Quit' pop up. You then 'Continue' and 'Log In'.
  • I’ve found the app but cannot get paste’ find your store’.  It finds it then nothing. Anyone else having same problem?
  • Hi, possibly make sure you have your location permission set to on for the Lidl Plus app?
  • I have made use of the £5 off voucher with no issues and just wondering how the loyalty thing works? £10 voucher after a £200 spend per month is a good incentive in my eyes and as its where I do most of my weekly shop, will be useful for me. I guess you must scan the app after each shop?
I do wish Lidl would survey customers on what other products they would like the store to stock. I understand that not having so much choice as say Tesco, they can keep prices low but it would be fantastic to not have to go elsewhere for items they dont stock.
    Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £60
  • Yes, you scan every time you shop. I also do most shopping in Lidl as it's local to me and I can't walk much these days and don't drive. Unfortunately, the £5 off £200 spend is no good to me, nor is the £2 off £100 spend, as I live alone and don't think I would even get up to the smaller spend.
  • My card wouldn't scan this morning, so the cashier asked for my phone and he entered it manually.
  • I signed up to the app as soon as it was trial launched last month. I received the £5 off a £25 shop and have been receiving the discounts off the items specified each week (some of the time). However there is usually a problem at the till with the app scanning and a couple of times the cashier has had to enter the code manually. On two occasions I could not access the card in the shop due to lack of signal/wi-fi (I admit I'm not very good with mobiles) and was unable to claim the discounts.
My main issue is that on the 5th of September I spent well over £100. On checking my receipt at home, I'd been given the special discounts on specific items so the app had scanned but there was no £2 off for spending over £100 and no scratch card. I e-mailed customer services and received a reply on 09/09/2020 stating that they were looking into the matter. Two days later I received another e-mail stating that they were very busy and would be in touch shortly. Nothing heard so far. Last Saturday (12th) I again spent over £100 in Lidl. Again I received the item specific discounts but no £10 off for spending over £200 in a month and again no scratch card. That makes me £12 and two scratch cards out of pocket as well as the times I stocked up on items eligible for the weekly discount, buying more than I would normally, but received no discount. also my receipts are not being recorded on the app.
Very disappointing performance from Lidl. I am sending them a copy of this and will be phoning them tomorrow if there is no response. Will keep the site updated.
  • PS. Where I live we are once more receiving the small leaflet (not the ones in-store) through the door and there is a £5 off a £25 shop cut out coupon. Hopefully will be able to use as well as the app.

I understand you are having problems but if you spent over £200 in total, you would not get the £2 for £100 spend, you would get the £10 for £200 spend. Could it be they wait until the end of the month to issue these particular coupons?
You are lucky to get the leaflet through the door that has £5 off a £25 spend. We have never got these through the door (even though Lidl is just down the road) and they hardly ever have them in-store.

Love the app, I always activate the vouchers before I set off & love the little scratch card you get after a shop.
