It's good to hear a large company is obeying the law. If they don't obey the law you take them to court. People don't like me saying that. Too complicated, apparently.

If you buy a PC by buying the cheapest at a certain spec you often have this sort of problem. When I am building a PC I am very particular about the motherboard and power supply. These can make an enormous difference but are often not specified by PC builders  so you get cheap and nasty.

You still don't get it. 🙄
Please stick to the Motoring board - we don't need your incorrect advice here confusing already-stressed people.

Loulybelle bought a product at distance. They weren't happy with it. They had a right to send it back for a full refund which is what they got. The last thing they needed was daft replies regarding whether it was a gaming PC and all the other rubbish that was posted.

If you want to send items back that you have bought at a distance the shop can reduce your refund if you have handled said item more than you can in shop i.e. setting up a computer and installing software.

So people informing them it was a poor gaming PC to start with so they look for a better one to buy instead is daft but your post just above where you actually give them advice about getting a decent specification of PC is not daft... You have basically complained about your own post from earlier the same day...

Erm ... unless I'm mistaken, the OP did set up the PC (logged in, tried using it) ... that's more than you can do in a shop. 🙄 (You can try a demo PC in a shop, IF they have one set up, but you can't create your own account and set it up).

Regardless, AO fully refunded the OP anyway, but not because they were legally obliged to.

If you buy something at distance and immediately don't like it you can return it for a full refund. If they don't you just take them to court or get a refund on your credit card. It's the law.
