Dailies done, then DH insisted on going for a walk without the dogs for an hour. Apparently it's going to be part of our new daily routine. Since being back, I have picked fruit from the garden, done some admin, and we've got stuff out of the cupboard of doom ready for a trip away.Spend less now, work less later.12

Hi again
Still awake lol. Dailies and a quick vac through of lounge, bedroom, landing and one flight of stairs done before paid stuff, also wm x 1 out on line and just in again as it’s dry. My office is already like a sauna, am hoping for an early finish as I started really early.
Just having a bite of lunch and then will get back to it. We have thunder forecast for this afternoon but like last nights storm I don’t think there will be much cooling of the temperature. Praying for tomorrow to be cooler!
stay safe and cool all x10 -
Cleaned the toilets, did a little knitting then we went for another walk. Think DH has gone mad but at least we're not getting on each other's nerves today.Spend less now, work less later.12

Hugs Dancemum xx
Love your hair Nattie...it really suits you.
Managed to re-schedule all today's work for later in the week when it's supposed to be cooler. I am seriously pathetic in this heat. Crazy couple of weeks coming up so will probably be MIA until early September. Who am I kidding...'missing and not in action' more like. Seriously need to pull my finger out but it can wait until it's cooler and work has quietened down a bit.
Hugs to all xx11 -

Full day at work (air con went on down the far end of the office, bliss even from a distance), home behind multiple tractors, a few spots of rain which has cooled it a few degrees from the 34 degrees that it was on my way home. None of the promised storms though.
Luckily I had prepped dinner, so that was easy done and cleared up after.
Shuffle up on that shady naughty step, Round, I’m joining you 😉11 -
I shall not need to water the garden in the morning - but it's not a lot cooler.
Today went haywire: didn't do most things on my list, apart from more filling of holes in walls, but I decided to take my car in to get the radio fixed (no charge) and I had to go out this evening to send off an Am@20n return parcel. Nothing much happened in between!
Tomorrow (today!) is another day, so onwards and upwards.10 -
Checking back in with a mid week report. I must admit, I am actually enjoying the hot weather......I know that if I stick washing in the machine, I WILL be able to peg it out and have a fighting chance of it being dry enough to put away the same day without touching the tumble dryer. So it means I can leave it out all day, go out to shops etc if I need to, knowing it will be working, while I'm working, if that makes sense.
So I've got 4 loads out today, plus both kids toys mats with rubberised backing through and dried ready to put back down on their foam squares.
Loads of stuff rehomed out of the bath from airing cupboard clearoutoclearout the other day, and stuff brought back from shipping container the other put into general circulation again.
Going to make a brew and start going through yesterday's clean washing to see if anything can be donated today. I had half a bag of stuff to donate over the last few days, so it's going to be worth pushing through to find a whole bag's worth and get that gone.
Then I can get back on piste with everyone xxx
The cold never bothered me anyway11 -
Morning all,
Yes Skinty that makes total sense! Good luck filling a donation bag, I have one on the go today as well. It's soo much cooler here 😊😊 I couldn't actually think straight yesterday! Today's plan is mostly keeping DS occupied without using a device (not easy when I have stuff to be doing), a big dog walk, more blackberry picking, stripping off the rest of DDs wallpaper, chap coming to quote for plastering, and a live chat with NPower if I can be bothered after all that! First, tea.
Have lovely days all xx12
