Morning!
MUCH cooler here today, which is fabulous! Woke up refreshed (although still early) so I decided to get up and get on with stuff.
DW, WM and TD all on and running/just finished. Dogs and children fed, yoghurt started and popped in boiler room to keep warm, chickens fed and watered and 74 chicks transferred from the hatcher to our brooder! Oh my days, they are so cute! Lots of colours, so I'm really pleased. Larger chicks moved to the hutches to grow on, but Peggy, the pullet with a poorly leg, is still hobbling, so she can be mother hen to the growers while she rests up.
Delivery for fence posts arranged, all bills paid, pregnancy scan for Floss made for next week and costings for hole borer and auger bits researched for hire v to buy obtained. A large 25kg bag of chick flint ordered as I'm fed up of buying twee little pots that last about a week and more football paperwork processed. Having a quick cuppa then back to it! If it stays cool, I'll be walking hounds at lunchtime.8 -
Long walk with DH and some admin done. Time to read a book, this one written by my DD so its proof reading really.Spend less now, work less later.9

Hi all, awful nights sleep again. 1.5 hrs paid stuff done, visited parents, came home and sat in garden just, well, sitting.
House isn't too bad from a distance but not much flying done this week. DS is working 6am to 11.30am and sleeps on an afternoon, so it's hard to hoover or do anything noisy.
Off to put clean washing away and see if the boy is still asleep. Think I should ring docs, thyroid check is overdue, don't think it's that making me so tired but I have had a lot of problems with it.

Well, I now have an email from power supplier wanting £780.90! logged into my account, not via the link in the email, nothing showing there, so I'll be on the phone first thing to see what the heck is going on.Bathroom ceiling all filled, some rubbed down, other to dry off over night.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Lots of rain here.
Didn't look at the list, but did a bathroom blitz which I won't bore anyone with listing, but it was a good one!
Polished lounge table, glass-fronted cupboard, front door glass and hall mirror while I had polish in hand.

Walked up to village plum/greengage trees when rain stopped and picked a lot. Froze 2 bags of gages with plenty left over to nibble. Put some plums in a fruit salad and made a plum cake with the rest. Freezer pretty full.
Did a NotParkRun in case I don't get the chance tomorrow; we are meeting friends for breakfast then Mr N will probably spend the morning with the men while one wife goes to visit her children/grandchildren. 'The boys' i.e. the old biker gits as I usually call them when they have their weekly Zoom, will probably come to our place in the afternoon to devour the cake.
I did a bit of filing, really must keep going with my study sorting in case I suddenly get some work.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
We are going for our first meal out today since December. The pub has set up individual pods aka sheds with fenced mini gardens to sit in. Still no rain here so first job will once again be watering the garden.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning. Morning. Morning.
Anyone else noticed that hot weeks are longer than cool weeks? No rain here - but we are near enough to the coast to 'benefit' from sea fret. I've not been outside yet so I don't know it what I see is fret or cloud. Mr Weatherman's forecasts imply that today is the day to get washing done. I am sooo tempted to follow a 'to do' list that I read on fb this morning: Drink tea. Read books. Be happy. if that's the case I've made a good start: two brews slurped.
Little imp on left shoulder says 'I'm sooo tired. Just flop'. Little imp on right shoulder says 'You really must do something today. Look at this tip'. I've listened to both of them and sent them off to have a picnic in Wales whilst I have a do a bit, sit a bit day.
Bed is made and break fast is broken. I've caught up with the thread and fb, and yawned a lot.
Going to have a shower (hoping it might wake me up a little (I've been up for three hours and still feel half asleep) and get dressed.
Hugs to all xx
Back soon

Morning all
Another bad nights sleep and in the WAC when DS got up for work at 5am. Been reading my Dr Chattergee books, need to start looking after myself better. Need to stop worrying about DS as much too, its not doing me any good!
R I am with you, a do-a-bit sit-a-bit sort of day sounds like a really good idea. I am pushing myself too hard at the minute, I know I am, but its hard to stop. Instead of my HIIT class this morning I am going to do some yoga instead then have something nice for breakfast.

Round, the sea fret has been here for the last 3 days and shows no signs of going. It seems the £780.90 the power company wants belongs to the old tenant, and is on his pre paid meter account, so I have asked for a letter / email to confirm I owe nothing.Ceiling rubbed down again, one area needs filling up again to make it level, first coat of white paint applied to the other areas I rubbed down, I am now preparing to roller paint the main ceiling and for some reason I don't want to do it so I am dithering around, if I just got on with it I would have it done by now.So my dithering including hoovering everywhere, getting the dust up, wiping down a wall.......................Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
