Ryanair

So Government have said essential travel only to spain. I am meant to be flying to Tenerife this month, Ryanair are not cancelling any of their flights ( the only airline not too) if I cancel my flights I lose my money, to change my dates for a family of 4 they want to charge me £520.00 extra as well as extra for flights next year. Why are they allowed to get away with this? I have not booked in online yet because i thought they were going to cancel all flights. I dont understand how they can get away with this. I've worked the whole lockdown as a registered childminder caring for nurses and doctors children so they can work and help all of the people who are sick. Please can anyone advise me I can't afford to pay more or lose flights.

If your travel insurance covers cancellation on FCO advice, claim from them

Caz has very kindly linked the many threads on this. The flights will not have just holidaymakers on them, people will have many other reasons needing to use the flights still going that is why they are not cancelled. Ryanair don’t get a very good press for many reasons but they are not doing anything wrong.I appreciate your position but the options you have been given are the only ones other than insurance claim if applicable.1
