We booked our holiday last November to Gran Canaria, however now travellers to Spain & the Islands are being told to quarantine for 14 days upon return our Insurance does not cover us and I am concerned if I do go we may get stuck there or we as a family of 9 will have to quarantine for 14 days on our return. Can we get a refund? Can anyone advise what we should do?

Who did you book it with? Is the entire thing booked through Ryanair?0

When are you travelling and who with? If you booked last November before the COVID-19 pandemic you should be covered by your travel insurance if you can't go because of it. Most airlines are not flying to countries on the restricted list so they may well cancel. If the travel company or airline do cancel you should be entitled to a refund.0

FO advice is advisory only, you can travel if the flights and accom are available. If it is, then the requirement to quarantine upon your return does not give you the right to cancel and receive a refund.
You need to give more info: dates of flight and return, did you book a package (ATOL certificate?) or separate flight and accom, provider?
Unless your departure is imminent, it is very likely that the advice will have changed anyway before you depart or return-or the provider will have cancelled the flight or accom.
But, if you cancel now, it will be classed as 'disinclination to travel' and you will not get a refund. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
When did you take travel insurance out? Assuming it was when you booked last November, then you should be covered as the government is advising not to travel, assuming that advice is still in place on your holiday departure date. If it was after March, then they would likely exclude coronavirus related claims.0
