Vibes coming your way valli x9

I have pulled the stuff out of the loft, tidied it, binned loads and now have two more huge bags for the charity shop. As a fairly clutter free person I am AMAZED I have unearthed so much to get rid of.
Cuppa now x8 -
Under sink cupboard sorted, found some batteries I needed for the car fob so pleased with that.Spend less now, work less later.8

Round 2 done - it took longer than it should have! I have scrubbed the travel cot, and sprayed with d€ttol spray. It is drying/airing in the sunshine. I have a small basket of baby toys & an activity mat to be used tomorrow. I emptied the Dyson and cleaned the filter, which is also drying in the sun. I got very hot & bothered so laid on the sofa to cool down, and decluttered a few zzzzz's!
I am going to make up some ice blocks for the boys to play with tomorrow as its going to be hot, and it keeps them quiet & busy for ages 😁 I think I will put bugs in them! And then I may do a bit more of my course as I am lacking in energy for anything else!7 -
Car has finally passed its MOT, had to pay £27 whatever pence, as a partial retest fee, came home and taxed it £10
now staying in the afternoon, the local town is packed with tourists, all good for the local economy etc, but I think they have left the fact we still have CV19 at home, either that or the heat has got them!!

Evening, all.
Valli, lots of fingers crossed for DS. I can't imagine being at home at that age (although that is partly because a) I'd legged it by age 17 and b) I had two kids by then)
Round, good to hear you don't have it. Boo to the party. Maybe have an official birthday at a later date when you can wear your party dress, fairy wings and a tiara like all princesses should be able to do at least once?
Himself is being weirdly useful. He's cleared the kitchen table of all the stuff I'd hoiked out of cupboards, meaning to sort it out when I felt better/had somewhere to sit and deal with it, put up a voile on the back door to keep flying annoyances out, cleaned all the countertops and cooked completely edible meals for the last few weeks. And he's watered all the plants front and back.
I think the number of tests I've had recently to see whether the Plague has affected my lungs, the bone density scan and everything including the stand-on-a-scale-to-be-told-what-I-know-already session (which has been followed up with cholesterol, fasting blood sugar and other tests) has led to him thinking that he needed to up his game a bit.
Good news, however - I finally (as I'd been putting it off due to lack of accessible appointments when I work for a living) had a smear test. I have the feeling that I've probably missed 2 or 3 from not being able to get time off to have them during the day, so I was a bit 'eeek' about what might come up on the results. Anyhow, I got the letter which confirmed negative, so it's one less thing to worry about, especially with the low back and hip pain which was starting to prey upon my mind. Just got to get the GP bloods results on Friday and then wait for the hospital scan/x ray/other bloods results in about a fortnight.
He's gone off to the shop now to get some strawberries as a change from the pounds of blackberries we've had so far (and no sign of them slowing up in the garden yet).
Having had a day back at work (one more on Friday and the same again over the next few weeks), I've spent the entire day in my nightie today, as it's still hot and icky here. Think I'll change the bed and do the bathroom tomorrow; I'm still getting very tired very quickly, but they're both relatively simple things.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll8 -
Evening
Lots of vibes for you, Valli x. And squishy hugs for ASB x Hope you are feeling better, Iona x
I am polishing up the flylady naughty step, as I seem to have made it my own this week. If I don’t put an effort in tomorrow (day off), then you might be entitled to fire me. DH meanwhile has run the dw while I was at work and WUDUPA after dinner. Not sure what his game is, but I won’t complain just yet. Wondering if he will make it to the ironing pile....7 -
well shoot...
fingers crossed for a flat soon.
ironed a maidenful and mended my pegbag
Fayolle - IF we were perfect we wouldn't need this thread...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Good luck Valli, if I am completely honest I sometimes wish DS could move out again, and thats awful because he has been so poorly!
ASB I dont know how I would feel if I had school age children, I really cant get my head around them all going back in a few weeks. I know they are less susceptible to the virus but it just feels wrong.
So, up late, exercise done, 8 hrs paid stuff, chicken dinner made for tea, DW emptied and filled, kitchen put to bed, bathroom floor washed and rest of surfaces swished, beds made, one load of washing out and dried. Bedtime now.
Fayolle kind of think we are not allowed to fire you, and as you know all effort to fly, no matter how small, is celebrated around here, even if thats just thinking about cleaning. Not convinced your DH will get to the ironing, dont think mine has ironed for at least 20 years.
Night all x8
