Just nipping in quickly to let you know: covid was NOT detected in my swab test on Saturday. I'm going back to work tomorrow. That's a relief.
I'm celebrating my birthday next month somehow - even if it's by asking everyone to raise a glass and drink a toast where-ever they happen to be at a set time. Actually that's not a bad idea.....
So relieved. But I still can't taste anything???? DS is home but doesn't think he did very well - time will tell.
Thank you for all you support. It really does mean the world to me.
I'd better mention flying - I need to WUDUPA!

Yay! Congrats for the negative Covid test Round - good news indeed! Hope you do get to celebrate your birthday one way or another too.
More hatchlings moved into the brooder and one still being blast dried in the incubator. Several eggs have pipped but not sure if they will hatch as they are a day late. I always feel sad when this happens as they seem to run out of energy right at the last hurdle. I did help a chick out of it's shell at the last hatch, but it had become too weak and didn't survive. I love the chicks when they've all fluffed up and are walking around - so cute!
Erm, flying! Yes...I've given the DW a deep clean and flushed it through to get rid of grease build up. I washed the filter and the seals but can't get the salt compartment lid off - I think the salt makes an airtight vacuum. DH will have to try later.
And I made an apple and cinnamon traybake which the boys have already devoured half of! Tiny has requested a chocolate cake next time...
I'll admit yo falling asleep on the sofa after my dog walk. The boys were fighting so badly that I sent them to their rooms and sat down with a cuppa to enjoy the quiet, then promptly fell asleep, so not a lot else has been done! Waiting for labrador Buddy's owners to collect him after work soon, then must try to fly somewhere, somehow!
Laters! Xxx

Oooh hope the interview went well round. Keeping fingers crossed.
I had a phone call from my brother earlier which was odd because I only spoke to him on Sunday. Turns out he is worried about me, I am not myself at the moment and he wants to know what's wrong, he cant stop thinking about me, bless him. Aren't I lucky to have a brother like that? Trouble is I then just felt guilty for worrying him.
So yes I am a bit out of sorts but its nothing much, I think its partly the whole Covid thing and people starting to say "if we go into lockdown again". As they say no point in worrying about what you cant change.
Flying is minimal, have hoovered and dusted and sorted some clean washing, I want to get back into a proper routine with it, being a bit disorganised isnt good for me.
Feel sorry for anyone celebrating at the moment, its not the same without family and friends around is it. Someone I know got married last weekend and still went ahead even though they couldnt have a reception, must have been really strange.9 -
Good evening!
Busy day, although I only had 2 siblings as the mum of the 3rd child forgot! The boys were lively, as usual, but it was good to see them
We went to the allotment to find that 4 legged vandals had ripped open a bag of compost and spilled it everywhere (75l bag!!) and knocked over half my sweetcorn
The 7 yr old was in his element, but the 5 yr old got bored quickly. They both had a lot of fun harvesting the potatoes & raspberries, although not many raspberries made it home
Back home the boys managed to make quite a mess in the name of play, so flying mainly consisted of following the whirlwind!
Garden has been watered, and a little more of my course done.
Tomorrow I need to get up early and go for a run. Then I need to sort out the baby toys and give the travel cot a clean, as well as washing & general flying/gardening.
Round fingers crossed for DS, and I am glad your test came back negative, although the lack of taste is still unexplained!
YL hugs to you - look after yourself
Night night all7 -
Good evening all,
Just popping in quickly (and after tablet “curfew” time...), to say good news about your test result, Round, good luck and everything crossed for Round’s DS ,and hugs to YL and anyone else who needs one.
So little flying today that it may as well be non-existent. I did pop into Mr W on my way home to pick up a few specific bits, and ended up spending way more than intended. And that on top of the expensive online shop last week, so someone else who needs to get a grip on the money that is leaking out like water.
That’s me for today, after a long night in the WAC again (no weird dreams though, DD is making up for that one), so hoping for sleep tonight.

Round.. I have loss of taste with my hayfever when it gets bad and also anaemia.. It can also be a sign of ageing.. as boring and scary as that sounds!
I want to go home!

Very windy here today.Washing I left out over night, is dry.Workmen today:- plumber and his mate2 days until grandkids arrive, plus relevant parents etc, so bed making, and sorting enough space so they can get into the bedrooms. But they are telling me they want to put the tents up and sleep in the garden, so that will happen as well, but I bet half way through the night they will be in!. |Play house is up, kite I ordered arrived yesterday.Car is now fixed and is being re tested for its MOT, then I can online tax it, and get food in in for the weekend.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
