Morning all
Bit late up, not helped by being late to bed because I had to do some washing up that DH had left at 10.15pm last night! Anyhow, exercise done, off for a shower then on with the paid stuff. Will put some washing in, it is supposed to rain first thing then be warm and grey by the looks of it! Need to go to the post office and return a parcel later (exciting stuff).8 -
Tents are fun, kaz! My DGS3+4 have been sleeping outside for the past week. they would normally be camping at a festival, so they're doing "festival at home"
Most of yesterday disappeared, I know not where. I went out at 12.00 to deliver 3 bags to CS [fer-ling] and carried on to the car dealership to get my radio fixed. Sat for nearly three quarters of an hour while the mechanic tried to enter the code manually, then resorted to the computer diagnostics. Turns out it needs to be left with the ignition running for one hour (I don't do long journeys!) for the radio to reset itself and allow the code to be entered. They offered to do it there and then, but by that time I was starving and it's too far to walk home and back again. I decided to go back tomorrow instead, with my lunch, a book and my knitting, and grab a drink from their machine!
Unfortunately I brought a blinder of a migraine home with me (probably exacerbated by showroom lighting) so I then slept all afternoon. DH was also feeling unwell, so we had an earlier night than usual. He is feeling a bit better this morning, but I am keeping an eye on him. I am sort-of OK at the moment, so fingers crossed.
Today's jobs, if possible:
- WMx2
- text plasterer
- send emails, including to Toddler Group families (staying in touch)
- buy milk and post a birthday card
- measure tap; order hose connectors and a couple of other bits
- fill big holes in study/bathroom/under stairs cupboard walls [left over from an earlier list!]
- meet a friend in the park for BYO tea; remember to take scones with me
- Rosie's walk
- expect a phonecall from an old schoolfriend this evening
or I may just find myself sofa surfing, if my head objects to the computer
Hope everyone has a good day xx
ETA: Sorry, round - meant to say glad your test result was negative. Enjoy being back at work!8 -
Morning all,
Firstly Round I am so pleased your test was negative, and good luck to your DS xx
YL - how lovely of your brother to notice and care. I feel out of sorts and discombobulated; I feel like a puppet on an ill thought out government string. We are back in local lockdown in our council area, so that coupled with rising anxiety about going back to work in September is making me constantly anxious.I just don't understand how the school I work in (>2000 kids) can properly open safely in four short weeks. Not to mention high levels of staff anxiety. Anyway, I shall fly today and not think about it. The WM is on, beds are made, I am expecting a tradesman for a quote this morning and a call from the water board, they never replied to my letter so I used social media instead to contact them. I am feeling weepy so whoever rings may get an emotional ASB!Have good days all x8 -
Morning all. Congrats on the negative test round. That's nice of your brother YL - it's important to keep checking on those you haven't been able to see. Sorry you're not feeling right ASB, trust me you aren't the only one as I've had a little cry pretty much every day since March. *hugs* to those that need them.
Most of the living room was done yesterday but will do the floors on Saturday. Didn't get to any of my additional tasks yesterday but it's ok as our plans for Saturday have been cancelled so I can spend some time then sorting out the dreaded pile of paperwork.
Made a start on the bathroom this morning with the towels on a wash and wiped down the sink. Cracking on with work now and will revisit later on this evening.
