Kitchen done - all levels. Even climbed up to clean the whole of each cupboard door -I can't reach when I'm on the floor lol; I had 'extra height' cupboards as I didn't want to put stuff on top of them; everything fits in them. It's all 'zoned' though - much like a supermarket arranges stuff they want to sell at eye height. Just waiting for floor to dry. I have also cleaned the drain 'discs/grates' (the metal bits the water goes through) - I have two - they went into boiling water with soda crystals.
Might give you lot that as a task - winter prep and all that!

Wow, you lot have been so busy. We got home, I watered the allotment, made dinner, WULTD, tidied the kitchen, and have now showered and flopped.
Narc0 - I noticed at the weekend that our village shop has started stocking gf flour. I don’t know offhand what brand it is, or which one you like, but if you get stuck in future, pm me and I’ll see whether she still has some for you.
Iona - are you heading my direction? Rosie would be most welcome. DH would winge but DD and I would spoil her nicely!
Round, that is rubbish for your DS’ gf. I hope it all works out for the better.7 -

Morning all
Tired this morning, had a really vivid dream about going camping with an old friend who I havent seen for years, and I had forgotten most of the camping essentials so was really stressed.
No flying done yesterday other than the basics. Long day at the paid stuff and took DS and GF to the train as they have gone back to the big city.
Struggling with meal-planning at the minute and spending too much on food. Must get my act together and actually see whats in the cupboards and freezer before I finish my Asda order this week! Off to get a shower and get ready for the paid stuff, will catch you all later.9 -
Morning xx
It must be the day for it - I opened the curtains to see a chap with a hard hat and high vis jacket seemingly taking photos of DS's car!!! He then banged on the front door; I couldn't find my key (gone through the hole in the lining of my bag - I must either sew lining or swap bags!!!), so I sent him round the back where I opened the door a crack (in my nightie with bed hair) to be shown his ID - leccy board looking at / photographing wires / supply to property.....and all before I've even put the kettle on.
All this after a WAC night to end all nights. I thought about posting on the thread. Good thing that I didn't you'd have had a full page: meh / pah / ho hum / fed up now / REALLY fed up now - you get the picture. Then I too had a vivid dream - and after a convoluted journey I reached my destination this time - to find it full of 20+ strangers of all ages who were happy for me to join them in their holiday home - when I'd booked it for a quiet break with just me and Mum. It ended with me saying I was going home and did Mum want to stay or come with me. She would come with me - I'm surprised that she even went in to retrieve our suitcases. Bizarre.
Not feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning - but it is what it is. I've made my bed and slurped my brew. Still can't taste anything.

Morning all. Sorry to hear a few of you have already had some stress this morning.
Managed to get most of yesterday's list done and feeling very pleased with myself. Even DH commented this morning that he liked coming down to a clean kitchen
Think today's list will be more than manageable this evening. Additional things I need to do are:
- Put laundry away from weekend
- 1 more load of laundry
- Blitz paperwork (this is currently in a pile in the corner of the bedroom!)
- Sort through 1 bag of stuff
Off to crack on with some work, hope you all have a good day.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20179 -
