He's 27 in September ... time he was long gone. I am planning on him taking everything or getting rid of it; his is the larger room and he has two wardrobes in it so lots of clothing. I'm planning on moving my shoes into there, and the stuff out of my little wardrobe - and my handbags. He was (apparently) going to ask to take the bed. I have said (to his GF) that as it's not actually a double bed, but a 4ft wide one they ought to get a new one. I kind of wish he was going a week earlier as I will be back at work so decorating the room is going to be a challenge. And, before that, it will need a spring clean.
If he takes his desk (which I hope he will) I might move my bookcase up there. Decisions, decisions.

Waves to all.
Back from lovely few days with Mum; managed to get into the sea twice although rather rough for swimming. No crowds on beach thankfully. Flying this morning consisted of helping Mum change the beds then vacuumed all upstairs.
Good journey home then watered greenhouse, filled bird feeders, unpacked some of bags and went for a run as the forecast for tomorrow is in the high 30s and no way am I running in that.
Stopped at a new Mr A on the way home, lovely and wide aisles well marked, lots of wipes/sanitiser. This week's specials are gf bread and various other things so stocked up. In fact my 8 boxes of gf flour arrived just before we set off for Mum's - so exciting as I hardly expected it to actually turn up.
I suspect it will be a catching up on flying day indoors tomorrow because of the high temperatures. I'm going to miss that sea....Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Very late one from me today; I have been up to bed but it's way too hot so I'm on the sofa instead where I intend to spend the night.Iona - thanks for your advice, I really hope your DH feels better and that the results are negative. Big hugs xx
Valli - thank you too and WHOOP to DS moving out! XX
Fayolle - thanks love. I was thinking about you when I was on the phone the other day, I was really anxious making the call and wondered how your anxiety is xx
I want to get all my jobs done before noon and the crazy heat of the day. I must clean the inside of the living room windows (minging), remake all the beds, do some work in the front garden (digging down to a waste pipe that is problematic, yes the saga continues, I will bore you more with it another day), Wash the DW filter out and also wash the doormats. No doubt it will be too hot outdoors for the children in the afternoon so they will probably play inside.Right I am going to finish this lovely cuppa then attempt sleep xx10 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today. I spent yesterday on the naughty step so need to change my attitude today and not be so woe is me.
Too hot for dog walking but I will potter and report back. So far today, I've dealt with a council email, poo picked and killed snails. Dogs are fed and medicated.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Morning all. In for a scorcher today so started work early to make sure I can chill in the garden later with my book. Dailies are already done and since DH and I are working in the spare room, we keep on top of it relatively well. Good morning!
I was running by 7:15am!!! It was very busy - lots of dog walkers out early to beat the heat. Before I left I hung out the washing (i know! I can tell you are impressed!! 😂) I have now showered, breakfasted, Friday money juggle done, watered the front garden & poo picked. Paid stuff today. Have a good day everyone x7 -
Valli, you make me laugh. Will the flags be out on the day he leaves?
I have cut the grass in back garden and done some admin. Sitting in garden now listening to shenanigans of workmen doing some work in an adjoining garden. They've already said the job is beyond them but they're carrying on regardless.Doubt any more flying will get done.Spend less now, work less later.9
