Round 1 done + changed the towels in the bathroom. They are now swishing and first load has been pegged out.
Second brew is being slurped while I check my spot on The Step to make sure that Fayolle has not surreptitiously polished it as well as dusting!!! I have visions of plonking down my derriere and finding myself sliding to the posh end of the step.
Paused to watch postie with everything crossed that she was going to finally deliver my package - which has allegedly been resent. No luck. I'll give them until postie has been on Monday - if no joy I'll be asking for my money back and order from somewhere else. #hot #cross #bunny
Round 2 =

I have been flying this week, need to declutter more but today is upcycle day, i have a pair of new linen trousers bought last year for £5 in the next sale, too long really but i kept them. They have now been cut into shorts, just going to iron and hem them, the rest of the legs is going to be a skirt
Sewing bee here i come, haha this is my first upcycle that is actually wearable. Enjoy the sun ladies, if you see a bright light no worries its just my legs out for the first time in like 20 years

Morning all (just)
well I have flown this morning despite the heat! All rooms have been hoovered and dusted, not perfect but better than nowt, bathrooms scrubbed, hard floors mopped, bins and litter trays emptied, 2 loads swished through wm and out on line, Towels ready to wash and will be done when I have line space...
DH has gone up to do some work, I have some to do as well but I can’t face the heat in my office at this time of day, may do early morning tomorrow...
House looking much better than it was, I still have a few things to do but I don’t need my place on the naughty step... I’m off to have a shower and try and find a cool spot with my book for a while.
have a good one all, hugs to those in need x8 -
We spent the morning gardening and you can see what we've done but I was wet through with sweat so have just had a shower and am now wearing my swimming costume. Tempted to just close the curtains and spend the rest of the day naked, but we've got a delivery due!Spend less now, work less later.9

nmm good work
thanks for comments about DS. While they're here I am 'mum' - ie cooking and cleaning. They're at work and I'm not...
Went with DS's GF (DiL in all but name, really) to pick up two Malm bedside cabinets fot £10 form Facebook - she's being eminently sensible buying s/h IMO.
Both girls have gone to leicester as DD has a couple of errands.

I haven't stopped ladies. I have finally unearthed the soil pipe, managed to rod into it and cleared everything myself. Couldn't be happier (and a bit proud if I'm honest). Been to screwfix twice, two loads of washing on line, kids tired due to heat so watching TV, I have two more things on my list (put shabby chic sign up in w/c and work on stubborn stain on hoodie) then it's wine in the garden for me. Another bbq for tea.
Anyone got any little shop things from M&S they don't want, DD is collecting them 😊😊
Big hugs to all, ps Iona SOooooooo glad it was negative for you x9 -
