The dip in service for home-texiles is probably down to the huge demand over Christmas but that is no excuse for bad communications.
He replied to my question about 2 days later and it was incredibly brief and riddled with typing errors. I have lost all confidence in this seller, he appears to be, as Gordon Ramsay would put it, 'in the $#!t'.
I know he probably sells about 50 items per day but that's no excuse for such lackluster support. When I asked him about what happened to my collection his response was 100% unhelpful, he didn't say when it would be picked up or whether the booking had been made.0 -

With payperdrop having problems and of course the Christmas rush, these third party courier agents(bookers) are getting a huge amount of trade now.
Only the other day one said to me they were now dealing in excess of 1000
a day. Some will even tell you they are limited to just 200 on their listing per day.
I'm not so sure the problem is with the carrier. My guess is they are unable to book and keep up with demand. No booking means no pick up.
Unfortunately there are members on here who have experienced some problems, but looking at the feedback on Ebay there are still a very large %
of happy customers at the moment that is.Time will tell.
Remember Parcelforce should be able to take your parcel if you can get to deliver at your local depot providing you have a confirmation email collection
that day.So if you think they won't show get down to your depot with that email before the lorry trailer leaves.DHL your stuck as they don't take in these collections.0 -
Over the last few weeks of using Home-Textiles we've noticed a 1000-1200 difference in booking numbers & I presume represents actual sales.0

TKPeters, can you amend the 1st post to show that MH Direct Couriers cut off for collection is 10am other wise it will be booked for the next day. This is not mentioned on their website at all and I am currently in dispute with them. I think they assume customers will go to their website via their ebay listings where I assume they have stated this important T&C.
I have previously used Interparcel & Pharos International where I booked same day collection where the website tells you if it is OK to book same day!0 -
Sadly the feedback does not show fully how bad the service can get.
It is mainly sellers who use these courier services and if they receive a bad service they are unlikely to give the seller a negative as they do not want one in return.
The courier sellers must receive confirmation from the courier companies as to whether a collection is confirmed.
It wouldn't surprise me if when a collection fails the courier seller receives a refund but does not pass this onto the buyer.0 -
Anyone know what MH Direct Couriers are like?
I booked an DHL 24hr service today at 10:10 this morning. The collection is for today. I paid with paypal and their order status is showing 'Waiting for payment'. I have just tried calling them with no success.
I've used them twice with no problems.
I did email them to clarify something and they emailed me back within half an hour, haven't tried ringing them.
The listing does say that: -
THE CUT-OFF TIME FOR SAME DAY COLLECTIONS IS:- 10.01AM
AND IS 08.00AM FROM SOME REMOTE AREA'S0 -

Wasted a day waiting for a home-textiles pick up for two parcels booked on 9 December. Will pay the extra next time and use parcel2go at least you get a contact number, home-textiles doesn't supply one. I will have to use Royal Mail for these shipments as I cannot wait another week until my next day off and my buyers will be really PO'd by then!!0

Home-Textiles does provide a phone number on his Contact Info; http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQtZvbQQsofindtypeZ9
Did you contact your local Parcelforce depot to see if they had the booking & I presume they hadn't been on the 10th?0 -

Sorry I should have clarified, I booked on the 9th for collection today and received a confirmation email. But for me to have to waste more time phoning Parcelfarce on an 0870 rip off number and sending emails to home-textiles (stoopid name or what:rotfl: :rotfl: )that don't get answered kind of defeats the object of the whole thing. Guess one gets what one pays for and home-textiles is just rank amateur, I will not be using again.0
