If they're Suspended on eBay, they've most likely not paid their fee's as the DHL/PPD 'eBay only' deal fell through, as is was not good business sense for DHL.

Not sure if this applies to Christmas deliveries but the last two times I used DHL via PPD the item was delivered the day after they collected.

I would steer well clear of anything Parcel Farce related unless you have a very reliable local driver.

We booked M H D for a Next Day collection today & I will let you know if it arrives tomorrow

We've never had a single problem lately with Parcelforce

A small note about your comment #56 about the Tracking Numbers;
The drivers handheld terminal has the Tracking Number on it, if they haven't got the labels with them.

I think we are lucky with our parcelforce driver. We did have a good DHL driver, but he was replaced with a !!!!!! one, now dhl is crap round here!

He didn't take much care in carrying the parcels, even though they were covered in fragile tape. I'd pass him the parcel and he'd basically just drop it on the floor! He wasn't very polite either, no manners at all. And they were turning up at any time between 11 and 6, where as parcelforce always come between 11-1, so there isn't as much waiting around.

Does MH offer a 2 day service, because from past experience the 2 day service from DHL also delivers it by the next day and costs less.

So, How did people get on with the Courier companies over Xmas? Did they arrive in time etc?

I know for a fact that my local DHL driver was rushed off his feet, Meanwhile Parcel Farce seemed to be struggling, using owner drivers on temp contracts. C(sh)ity Link lost a parcel to us from Amazon, Parceline were fast, but don't appreciate collections at 8am!
Currently the best offer I can find on ebay is still MHD(couriers direct) at £6.99 for the 24hr service.
