Is anybody waiting for post offer correspondence, if so how long has it taken
we got sent our offer in the post more or less straight away after our MA told us the news (maybe 1 day later). We then signed and returned it. Other than that, our MA says we are good to go and leeds are just awaiting our solicitors instruction to release funds, whcih takes 5 working days
Have you done the searches? Also will you be on furlough because I wonder what’s gonna happen with that . I may be as it’s non essential
Yeah we had everything done before we got the offer. But now we are waiting on the sellers mortgage, so the wait never ends haha. My Jobs ok I havent been furloughed, but my partner did back in the first lockdown, but we haven't heard anything from leeds yet in terms of requesting further info so fingers crossed were ok. I think once you have the offer you're pretty safe? But our MA did say that until you exchange, they do reserve the right to change the offer/ request further info
I’m waiting on the top chain too, his waiting on searches. In my area searches take a week.  my Soliciator receptionist is isolating so no one is answering the phone so emails only. Hope we all can get through this bizarre situation
Its frustrating because if it wasnt for Covid, everything would be moving so much smoother. But atleast theres no Stamp Duty i guess lol
That’s why I’m happy, no stamp duty. Spoke to my mb and they said I don’t need to tell them as once you have offer that’s it. So good news
  • Really happy for you Becky! I'd been following this thread since we first applied and it's been great to see many of you finally get your offers. Really hoping we'll hear something back soon but at the moment the 13-day wait after the additional information puts us on a date of Tuesday 17th November. I'm really hoping we can be in for Christmas. It's an empty new build some I'm hoping things will move pretty quickly if we get an offer. My only concern is that together we have about 4k debt on credit cards which we have demonstrated is reducing every month. I'd missed a few payments towards the back end of December 2019 too. It was all down to the unexpected death of a family member and I needed to take out credit cards to pay for the bills associated. Our MA said we shouldn't have any concerns as our credit scores were OK. Surely if we passed the hard credit check and initial assessment, there shouldn't be any reason to worry?...
    15-Sep Mortgage application submitted
17-Sep Hard credit search (2 days in)
06-Oct Letter from LBS confirming initial assessment (15 days in)
29-Oct Additional information requested (32 days in)
29-Oct  Additional information sent (confirmed we'd never taken a payment holiday).

The wait is horrible isn't it? Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since we've supplied the additional info and we're still waiting.... if for any reason they decline, we will have to start the whole process again
22/09 - application submitted with Leeds BS, long story short, on the 9/11 we've been told that Leeds is reducing the amount they're willing to lend by nearly £20k (turns out our broker FORGOT to declare our child on the application)
10/11 - found another mortgage advisor
11/11 - AIP with Santander (single applicant, shared ownership, 85LTV)
    12/11 - all documents sent
13/11 - application with Santander submitted and passed to underwriting. Valuation booked for 23/11
19/11 - mortgage agreed, subject to a satisfactory valuation
    23/11 - mortgage offer issued
    19/12 - completed

It's exactly that! I can deal with the waiting, it's just the apprehension at any point it might fall through and leave us back at step one. Our MA has gone off the grid too. I sent an email last week regarding if they knew if the valuation had been done and still no response. Fingers crossed you hear something soon Monik!

I think most MA are the same 😂 we've been told last friday that the additional info is still in the queue to be looked at. It's wednesday today. How long is the bloody queue? 😂 on the website, it says that the underwriting is currently 12 working days, pre & post offer correspondence is 8 working days. We've been waiting 14 working days now :(

Just had a call from the estate agent saying our solicitor just needs a moving date and that we're all set to go. I mentioned that we hadn't had our offer yet and I think they were under the impression it was on it's way today. After a few checks it turns out otherwise and we still haven't got it yet, the 13th is still the date to be aiming for. That got my heart rate up for a second! Good to know all the searches and other requirements from our solicitor have been settled though.
  • What a busy day for things happening! Our MA rang up LBS and told them the solicitor is all set to go and LBS have confirmed they'll either give us an offer or update by close of business this Friday. The evaluation report has also been sent over by LBS. Feeling very excited now!!

Don't worry about size of debt! Together me and my husband have about 12k on credit cards. And if they weren't happy with anything on your credit report they would most likely of declined you at the initial assessment
