    Hi folks,
I just wanted to share my own experience so far. It looks like most of you have had valuations completed before the letter regarding the initial assessment? Our timeline is as follows so far!
    15-Sep Mortgage application submitted
17-Sep Hard credit search (2 days in)
06-Oct Letter from LBS confirming initial assessment (15 days in)
29-Oct Additional information requested (32 days in)
    29-Oct  Additional information sent
Am I correct in assuming the submittion of additional information now pushes us back another 15 days?
    Many thanks in advance!
Possibly but it says 13 days now.
I didn’t know my valuation was done until I rang Leeds to pay £35 lol .
  • I have a feeling we are going to be well and truly screwed by this lockdown and my husband going back on furlough for a month. I think they may decline us now

When are you likely to hear anything ? Have you spoken to your broker ? We are still waiting for the additional info to be reviewed :(
22/09 - application submitted with Leeds BS, long story short, on the 9/11 we've been told that Leeds is reducing the amount they're willing to lend by nearly £20k (turns out our broker FORGOT to declare our child on the application)
10/11 - found another mortgage advisor
11/11 - AIP with Santander (single applicant, shared ownership, 85LTV)
    12/11 - all documents sent
13/11 - application with Santander submitted and passed to underwriting. Valuation booked for 23/11
19/11 - mortgage agreed, subject to a satisfactory valuation
    23/11 - mortgage offer issued
    19/12 - completed

    Hey Sofsar!
I'm curious, did you just ring up LBS yourself to find out about the application? Our mortgage advisor seems to prefer everything to go through her...

    Cheers!

No one told me anything until I got a surprise letter by post. Broker didn’t mention anything.

They shouldn’t reduce loan otherwise no one will get a mortgage. They may ask for latest wage slip and bank statement which is understandable. But it’s worrying for a lot of us including me so I’m sure banks won’t be harsh.

I'm worried they may decline because the risk that companys might not make it through this lockdown
