We got our offer through today!! at long last
    Timeline:
    04/09 full app submitted
    05/09 equifax check
22/09 additional info request. (proof of deposit) sent back same day
09/10 additional info request (querying some payments my partner makes each month) sent back same day
13/10 BDM told our MA that a solicitor letter confirming deadline dates would put our application into a escalated queue with a 2-3 day turnaround- letter sent that same day and was advised by the BDM it was successfully escalated
16/10 additional info request (they needed another bank statement from my partner) sent back the same day
    21/10 Mortgage approved
Leeds for some reason reduced the loan amount by £800, im not entirely sure why at the moment and we are still debating this with them.
Word of encouragement for people still waiting- my bank statements are a mess and I regularly go into my overdraft each month and spend on silly things, so if anyone is worried about that then dont be!
Thats good to hear, my bank statements aren't the best! My husband buys Greg's everyday  :D and we dont go into overdraft but I am constantly moving money out of savings!
  • Been watching this thread. We submitted full app on Sep 28th. Still in processing queue 17 working days later (excluding day of submission). Valuation has been done, but it does feel like we are waiting forever and getting nowhere.

sounds like you will hear any day now. I think turnaround time is about 16 or 17 working days at the moment for first review

Me too. Full app submitted 29th Sept by broker. We're now in temporary accommodation having completed on our sale last week. Every day that drags on, I'm having kittens. What is the underwriter looking for when the hard credit check and the valuation have both come back fine? And why does it take nearly a month?

Its taking longer than a month unfortunately. From people on this thread its currently taking 6/7 weeks. We're on 6 weeks tomorrow
  • To anyone that's had theirs approved. How have you found the process afterwards? How long do Leeds take before they send the money to solicitors and send you the documents to sign? Thanks
  • Leeds were fine afterwards. It took three weeks from receiving the offer to us exchanging and completing. It would have probably been quicker if my solicitors weren’t hard work! But no Leeds were fine :)
  • We have 2 different joint accounts, one is just a normal account that out wages get paid into, the other we then transfer a lump sum in and then all the bills go out of that account. We can manage our money better this way and whatever if left in our normal account we know is our disposable income. Leeds ha e come back to us today saying they are still trying to figure out our wages and the money moving around. I dont get how difficult it is to understand! Our broker has sent statements again explaining this AGAIN. Is it likely to take another 3 weeks to review??

    This is so annoying!

Unfortunately it may be another 3 weeks. I think if its a quick answer to a question then they sometimes review it again that day or the next day, but if they query statements or ask for further documents, its to the back of the queue. Could you maybe get your solicitor to write a letter like we did and escalate the application?
