He was told yesterday that it would still be another few days before our case would even be looked at and he said that wasn't acceptable so I'm really hoping we will have an update by close today but more than likely just wishful thinking.22/09 - application submitted with Leeds BS, long story short, on the 9/11 we've been told that Leeds is reducing the amount they're willing to lend by nearly £20k (turns out our broker FORGOT to declare our child on the application)
10/11 - found another mortgage advisor
11/11 - AIP with Santander (single applicant, shared ownership, 85LTV)
12/11 - all documents sent
13/11 - application with Santander submitted and passed to underwriting. Valuation booked for 23/11
19/11 - mortgage agreed, subject to a satisfactory valuation
23/11 - mortgage offer issued
19/12 - completed0 -

We are still waiting 😞 working day 36, almost week 7. How did everyone manage to speed things up? Did you contact your brokers? I still don’t even know if the have done the underwriting tbh. Valuation was only done 7 days ago. I totally understand things are delayed due to Covid and LBS have had a surge of applications to make things even worse but tbh we can’t wait much longer. If this gets declined then I can’t see the HA waiting another 2months + for another mortgage application.0

Guys I think they’ve just got more and more stretched. It took me 33 working days.. I think anything between 30-40 working days is standard at the moment. While I know it’s so frustrating, you will get an answer so just try to be patient! You will be in soon0
