our MA has just told me that apparently if you get your solicitor to put on company headed paper that there is a deadline date they are working to and get your MA to upload this to leeds, it gets escalated and the queue cuts from 15 working days to 2-3 working days

Yeah Covid is making things far worse that what they would be. Just gotta stay positive. As people have said on this thread before, aslong as youve passed the initial check it seems approval is confirmed its just a matter of time
Do you think this is true? Surely it can't be as if it was they would just be able to approve them then wouldn't they?

Im not sure, this is apparently what the Leeds BDM told our MA. Ive chased our solicitor for a letter but shes slower than leeds so im not holding my breath. To the back of the 15 day queue i go i guess

That's an interesting fact ( I hope it's true though)

Are you trying to get a letter confirming the payment side for your partner?

Basically my partners granddad owns the house that her and her mum live in currently, so instead of paying a mortgage, they both just pay him £200 each per month. My partner references these payments to her grandad as "mortgage payment to Grandad" on her bank statement, so this has confused leeds as they think she is tied into another mortgage which is not the case and obviously these payments will stop when we move out.

Leeds said that based on this, they could offer us £800 less and wanted to know the reason for these payments. So weve gone straight back to them to clarify. So hoping it will be ok and we will get the full amount

So our MA emailed them to clarify this morning. But we are trying to avoid being put to the back of the queue so our MA has been chasing leeds today and thats when they said if we get a letter from our solicitor then it can escalate the case

That makes complete sense. So you need the solicitor to verify this? will it cost you extra from the solicitor?

£800 less.. Is that over the whole mortgage or year or something? Could you just make that up yourselves if needsbe?

I see. Hopefully the solicitor won't be long then. The good part about this is it all sounds very positive when you pass this hurdle.
