Any Recent Leeds Building Society applicants?

Is there anyone that is using a gifted deposit and if so what proof of funds was required for this? I have sent them my nans bank statement showing the funds there and also the gifted deposit letter , but nothing to show it’s been sent to my bank account. Will they need this?

I haven't been asked for anything other than the gifted deposit letter. Our parents haven't even transfered it to us yet

Ok thank you. I saw someone post on this thread a while ago saying they wanted a bank statement from each side showing the funds leaving and being deposited. Hoping that isn’t the case.

im on 13 working days now since additional info so hoping to hear any day now

Completely true. My wait wasn’t as long as yours, we got to 24 working days in the end but exchanged and completed just over a week later. It was worth it in the end.

Well, about 10days later. It all happened so quickly once our offer came in. I think the chain were waiting for the offer before they could suggest a date. Worth it now, we love our house 

It took 3 weeks for us from offer to completion which was also stressful. But honestly once you get the keys to your house, you forget everything!

I asked my broker if you go to the back of the underwriter queue after they ask for more info and he said no, there is a queue but not that long

That's not what Leeds have told me direct on 2 separate occasions.

me neither. I spoke to Leeds yesterday and they said any new document is a further 15 working days before its looked at.

5/8 Applied for plot
13/8 Accepted for plot
19/8 Full application with Leeds
23/9 Valuation completed and OK
25/9 First questions and soft credit search
29/9 Confirmed answers to LBS direct as my MA couldn't get through  were told it would join 12 day underwriting queue again
01/10 Received letter about initial search through the post dated 25/9
Chased a couple of times since then, was told we would hear something by the 15th, and then when we chased after that (mostly to see if there was any further questions) we were told we wouldn't hear until the 20th.

Ahh that’s frustrating! Yours seems to have been delayed further because the valuation took quite a long time. Hopefully hear soon!
