I’m due to put my full app in on Friday as soon as i get authority to proceed from help to buy. We’re supposed to exchange on 22nd August, i really cant see us meeting that deadline, it’d mean we’d need our mortgage offer in just over 2 weeks.

I’m sure you guys would have seen but the service times are now saying 8 working days for correspondence and underwriting 😩

I did speak to my mortgage broker today and she said that she was pretty sure Leeds would have already been in contact with us if they needed any more documentation. She also said that she believes that the valuation was the last hurdle. So that’s positive I guess!

So emailed broker, apparently the valuation has been completed and has come back as expected🤷🏻‍♀️ Wasn’t even made aware they had booked one in. Unless they’ve done it remotely.  I’m convinced they’ve confused me with someone else.

When I spoke to my housing association lady she said if they can do it remotely they will. Sometimes they only use the floor plans and particulars. 

You are probably just waiting for final underwriting now then not long to go.. I’ve still got another week 🤣

I just find it strange that the last contact I had was they would let me know when a valuation date is set. Then I email them and they said it’s done! 🤷🏻‍♀️ She also said it was Aldermore and when I said I thought it was with Leeds she said, oh yes sorry I was on the phone to Aldermore while I emailed you. So accidentally put Aldermore.. who knows! She said she should have more information next Wednesday so will wait till then x

Any news?

Got an update this morning! Leeds have asked us to form a declaration form (I swear we’ve already signed this but never mind) and also for my Gran to sign a gifted deposit form. They’ve also asked about a standing order I had on my bank account. Which is really easy because it’s now cancelled so just need a letter from the person I was sending the money too saying all money is paid! 

I asked the broker and he said this should be the final step and then we will just be waiting for the offer to come through 🙏🏻
