Nope @King_hins. Our exchange is supposed to happen Wednesday but I highly doubt that is happening as although I asked the solicitor, she didn’t give me a straight answer on if we would be ready. I haven’t had our report and I know our searches have been done. Our sales advisor at the HA has told us to
expect to exchange from next week (21st) as the solicitor is still waiting on a few enquiries from the HA. We have signed our mortgage deed and sent it back to the solicitor though.
  • Hi, we got our mortgage offer on 3rd July and completed on 31st July.  It seemed forever at the time but it was quite quick really x

Good luck, hope you get your exchange/ completion dates soon x

  • My offer has come today (26 working days from submitting all documents), it’s not official yet as they were apparently sending it through in the next few hours but I’m hoping to have it by the end of the day.

    What was your timeline?
  • Applied for our mortgage 13th August.
    Valuation completed.
Underwriter asked for more documents which we organised and sent off straight away.

Just been told from MB that all of our documents still need to be assessed?

Getting so fed up of waiting and worried about our offer :(

  • @Burgerandchips try not to worry mine took 7 weeks.

    What was your timeline?
    31st July- DIP
5th August-agreement signed and documents returned
10th August- documents received on system
    21st August- first assessment
    26th August- valuation
7th September- first assessment complete-more documents required

Then the rest is a bit of a muddle. They requested the originals for the documents (which had already been provided and signed off as provided) so our case ended up with a supervisor.

I’ve counted the days from when they registered our documents which is 26 working days in total. Bit different from HSBC where we had a decision within 2 weeks of applying...but that was back in March.
  • Just to add we made an offer on a house back in the beginning of July. We originally had a mortgage offer with HSBC for a different house but when we changed the house our mortgage rate went up and my husband wanted to try and get the best rate so we went with a different provider
