Congratulations @maunders. Great newsFirst time buyer- Shared ownership- 13/7 DIP Leeds- soft search- 20/7 told we got house-21/7 instructed solicitor- 27/7 sales memo and full application- 30/7 hard search- 3/8 mortgage declaration sent- 6/8 told valuation complete
13/08 questions from underwriters
17/08 letter to say initial assessment completed.
20/8 Broker says it will be another week until more communication from Leeds.

Does anyone know why they are taking so long? My friend applied for a mortgage with Barclays and had her offer the same day!0

Just to add to this, when you receive the offer, ensure they also send the valuation to your solicitor - This is holding things up on my side now!0

I'm also in a similar position to a lot of people here - finally got my ESW1 last week, valuation was signed off last Thurs and now just impatiently waiting for a mortgage offer.
@cadders24 That's useful info to know - I have very very tight timescales (I have to move out of my current rental on the 24th sept
) so cant afford any delays. Why do the solicitors need the valuation?

Most other lenders are delayed too. Leeds were already slow in the first place compared to others so it’s just gone to a whole new extreme I guess.0

Out of interest those that have had offers...what was the time from full application to offer? No idea, LBS had wanted the Solicitor to check something on it (didn't state what) - She said couldn't say it was a worry until had seen the valuationcsguk01 said:Hi
