my broker also said, they have never experienced covid so at the moment they are making it up as they go along. So I guess if you have passed affordability and credit checks and you can afford in their eyes the mortgage repayments then I guess in my eyes they will be happy with issuing an offer.0

It is so frustrating
yes I have contacted my solicitor as well, and all they are waiting for is mortgage offer and local search to come back as well.
So at least we are all at very similar stages and we have our solicitors doing things in the back ground so exchange shouldn't take much time either.xx

I have no idea how the sellers are getting on. I’ve emailed EA to give them a update from our side to show we are trying! I spoke to my housing association lady and she said even with the delay, it’s still before our exchange date (by a week) so she thinks it will be okay and even if it does get a further delay, she is sure they will be accommodating due to the circumstances. No idea about my solicitor. she’s said she’s done everything but who the hell knows. I’m so upset, I wasn’t expecting another question today 😢0

So what have they actually asked?I’m hoping ours should be ok as when we applied my husband was already back at workFirst time buyer- Shared ownership- 13/7 DIP Leeds- soft search- 20/7 told we got house-21/7 instructed solicitor- 27/7 sales memo and full application- 30/7 hard search- 3/8 mortgage declaration sent- 6/8 told valuation complete

We were both already back at work when we applied too. It was literally if we were back at work full time. Which the broker answered for us because they knew we were because we had already given them the information IN THE APPLICATION 🤬 Even when we were on furlough we were topped up to 100% anyway so it made no financial difference to us!0

I think we will al be fine! As Flexi furlough is better than furlough and furlough is better than being made redundant! and to me that’s how the lenders will see it
it’s so frustrating to wait though! X
