Just spoken to my MA who has advised that Barclays are asking for additional documentation which he already uploaded at the start!
He tells me not to worry and is certain it will go to offer.
He is a good guy - but ultimately Barclays decision - how confident should I be if the MA is telling me it will go to offer?

It probably will go to offer, they’re just asking for documentation to confirm what you’ve applied for. The problem is, they do it very slowly and it is a long drawn out process where it is very hard to get any info out of them.

    Doesn’t help the stress though...
  • We applied to port our mortgage with Barclays with some additional borrowing for a new purchase on 21 July. Credit checks and declaration etc done on 22 July. Further request for docs on 31 July, when our MA said our application was awaiting Senior Underwriter approval (we are not straight forward, so this was expected!)  Just heard from our MA that we have been approved pending valuation. Fingers crossed this doesn't take too long...

Thanks for the update and good luck.
My MA asked for some more documentation yesterday and told me he will contact the underwriter today
    Fingers crossed

Barclays operating on 5 day’s basis for everything.
In my case after I got the offer my solicitor questioned the “green rate” as my developer isn’t on the Barclays list.
My MA was lightning fast and changed the product within couple of minutes within 15 min of informing him about it we got our new declaration to sign . And nothing , as we ware on a deadline and they made the fu** up not checking this I was pushing my MA so he escalated this as he could . I was on the phone with Barclays, got switched more times I could it was always explanation and “we are sorry but 5 days we can’t do anything about it” ok can you switch me to someone who can . And always got this same answer, they will escalate although they can see it’s already has a high priority. And that was just changing the rate by 0.12 % . Took 3 days so I don’t want to know how long it takes for normal ones 😅

    5 working days?
  • Hi All, I am a FTB with Barclay Family Springboard through a broker. Been 3 weeks since application. My MB is responsive but not a great communicator so it's a struggle to keep on top of where we are. Last update was that we are waiting for survey to be instructed, anyone know how long this might take and how long the surveys are taking?  MB seems confident that all is moving in right direction but says he has to be on hold for 50 mins each time he calls for an update. Can I call them myself?
