So weird how everyone is told different timescales.
    Full app 24/7
    Decision reffered
    Desktop valuation approved 24/7
Was going to chase today being the 4th business day
    Offer received 30/7
    Solicitors instructed 30/7

Really was expecting absolute pain as we have help to buy etc
  • So nice to hear about the successful mortgage offer for some - gives hope to some of us still waiting. In with Santander - timeline;

July 9 - DIP and Full application with documents attached
July 10 - documents accepted and application passed to underwriters
July 21st - request for additional documents
July 22nd - documents sent and accepted and passed back to underwriter
July 24 - physical survey completed
July 27 - request for additional info. Sent same day and accepted. Passed back to underwriter
July 29 - survey report recieved

now waiting for decision... so frustrating

6 days that’s super fast . Although if I had desktop valuation probably would take this same time.
I’m still waiting for my solicitor to get the offer so we can progress with HTB

Wow - so much variation in timelines. It’s almost like all we can do is apply and wait!
Given the current circumstances and that each application must be so unique I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
Hope all goes well and you hear soon for those of us waiting
  • Yeah best of luck il keep an eye on this so keep the Barclays customers updated. The variations do seem crazy especially given we are not a totally straight forward case, apart from rock solid secure income.

I’m still waiting for mine, I applied on June 16th!! It’s supposed to be a desktop valuation which had been instructed on July 9th at the latest yet appears still not to have been performed. My mortgage broker has escalated it with the help of my solicitor this week but still waiting to hear anything from Barclays. My application has definitely fell through a gap somewhere as it was straight forward (employed on PAYE, no furlough, key worker etc and only around 3x my income).
  • That’s very odd, but as it has been mentioned here with Barclays it seems to glide through perfectly or go awry.
