MB just called, and after nearly 2 hours on hold he has spoken with Barclays, our valuation was instructed on 24th, it hasn't been booked yet though, but he has said it will be accepted subject to valuation! So we're instructing our solicitors today!
  • We just got hold of them too, apparently all the documents uploaded are satisfactory, just audit checks remain? What does that mean?!

What I know for a fact
    - track it is not that useful as you will se in you history the “key facts” will refresh itself once every couple days , nothing new just will change the date and time
    - Barclays MA have internal memo not to chase after mortgages once submitted.
You underwriting should be done within 5 days so if you will be lucky you will get an offer next week . If I had desktop valuation it would take 2 weeks.
i don’t know why they send the offer through post .
what rate did you get ??
    i got 1.81 5 y fixed
Thanks for your insights, I had noticed KFI in history had repeated 3 times already with weird times such as 04:00am.. I will take it with a pinch of salt from now on! Yeah the MA seems to have gone quiet since he got all the paperwork squared away. What I can’t work out is it was reffered as a result of adverse, if it was going to be declined surely it would of been already declined.. who knows but wish me luck.

We got 1.84 over 5yr which seemed decent!

I found out I had a default on my account after i subscribed to experian expert z still went through. 😅
I was pushing my MA for updates so we had a long talk that you can summarize as:  “chill, everything is ok, COVID slows this down , if there will be problems you will know within minutes “. Ofc I didn’t chill just stoped harassing him 😂
got the offer, you don’t need to sign it to accept it you need to sign deed that you solicitor will send you .

An update if anyone is interested (and can help)
Had a message from MA assistant - desktop valuation is satisfactory.
Thinks we should have a offer by the weekend but they are going through final checks.
Not sure what they are or if anyone knows what happens after here??

BTW - When the application went in the calculations said 1.73 but I know they have gone up to 1.85 now - not sure which I’ll get but hope it all goes through now. Stressing!!!

I submitted full application on 19th June, documents they requested a couple of days later, desktop valuation done and then full offer on 21st July. Nothing to complain about and within the timescale suggested by my MA.
Well done - how did you get through a month with all the stress. Did you get regular updates?
My worry at the moment is whether the valuation is physical or automated as the house we’re looking at is in a high risk corona area - not sure anyone will want to go out there at the moment

I didn’t really get any updates, other than one to say it had been approved subject to valuation. To be fair, I’m quite an easy case and my current mortgage is with Barclays so I never worried it wouldn’t get approved. My MA also said Barclays are normally quick to say no, so after the first couple of days it’s pretty much just waiting for them to tick the boxes. I did find other things to stress about like no contact from my buyers solicitors for weeks!
