So - just spoke to MA.
Advised that Barclay last current SLA for document verification is 12 working days. He must wait for this before he can query it.
    Application submitted 20/07 with all docs, 3 x payslip, 2 x P60, 3 x Bank Statements.
Mortgage declaration signed and sent back 21st.
Not sure when it happened - but advised on 24/07 that desktop valuation was successful.
Docs waiting for underwriter review - but I must wait till 4th August at least for escalation.
Great way to spend the weekend

Wow - the SLA for document reviews is going up by about 5 days every week!
We're still waiting from the last document submission which was 6 working days ago :-(

So 22 days after being told a desktop valuation was going to be performed I’ve now been told they need to carry out a physical valuation!! I imagine this won’t get booked until next week now and by the timescales from others on here that’s going to take another 2 weeks roughly. I’ve lost the will to live with the whole process on what was a straight forward application.

So a desktop was never performed? Or did they perform one and now want a physical one too?
