Total saved £110. Got copies of photos to send to my brother and sister. TV guide for next week. Also a sympathy card for my Mum's brother in law who's brother died and posted it to Ireland.

Just a quick one for me to say hello and apologise for being a terrible host this month.
A bit of anxiety has set in over the past few days, and the b i t c h voice in my head has been getting loud again and that's always a bit hard to deal with. It takes me a while to kick my own backside and find my motivation when I'm feeling like that.
However, the stairs are decorated and done.I am getting towards the end of this round of decorating - so hopefully won't have to do it again for a few years. I'm quite proud of how my house looks now, and how different it is.
Plus I've finally used the new cooker, after 5 days

I have just come back in from seeing a lovely lady from fakeb00k giving away cooking apples, so popped in to Mr T's shopping emporium on the way home and did a £3 ys haul on the way past. Tomorrow is now apple prep day! stuffed apples, apple turnovers and apple crumble on the menu - if I can get my oven to light, then meringues to use the cooling oven while the flippin' thing works, probably with apple sauce. She says she will have more next week.
free food. A lot of apples to be grateful for tonight.

Evening all,
I love free apples foxholes. That reminds me I need to ask my parents to bring over any spares from their tree tomorrow when they visit.
ccl sounds like you’re doing a great job with the decorating, and I always find it lifts my mood to have a nice environment to come home too.
Today will be spendy but it’s nearing the end of the holidays so nearly time to put away my purse!

Yesterday was a slow day but things were done. Had sent a message to DS2 to ask if his gf is a vegan - no but she is lactose intolerant. Quick review of planned menu and then ordered lactose free marg, soft cheese, grated cheese, plain and vanilla yogurt and two types of mayo - will mostly make the things I was planning but will use the lactose free products to make all my usual dips, salads etc and if anyone else doesn't like the taste - tough. That was delivered (made the order up with various gaps I've noticed and items that didn't get onto the previous delivery before I reached the items limit.
Mum and I watched a film (with tooth fairies, Jack Frost and other anthromorphic beings) and then she went for a nap (she had a cold, started feeling better after two days and started doing stuff which caused a relapse) so I cut all the letters out for a happy birthday banner and cut lots of different sized flowers (using the shaped biscuit cutter set) - larger ones for decoration, smaller ones to make a card. I was going to put one on the shopping list but I'd have had to find and write out lots of verses (mum measures the worth of a card by how many yards of verse it has) and I'm using up all the paper scraps (it was an A5 pad, needed 17 for the bannerand counted 20 the other day - found another full sheet and a couple of roughly half sheet pieces.
I brought in the remaining plants from the polytunnel - still loads of other stuff in there, chairs, shelves and other things I've used to stand plant pots and seed trays on. This morning I've filled three binbags + 3 other part filled bags (already sorted) with assorted plant pots, yogurt pots, mushroom boxes and variously cut 2 l plastic bottles which have been used for growing/ growing on. They are all in the shed - they will need sorting and cleaning, some will be binned, some put away for next growing season, all labelled and counted. But garden audit is next week and as much as possible will go in the shed. I have lists coming out of my ears and mum has been meithering about the weeds in the front garden (I counted 20 including pieces that are less than a cm square), saying my cabbages haven't done well and deciding what will go where (all the things I was pondering went out of my head). I've got her watching Harry and the Henderson's and I'm hoping she goes for a nap after lunch.
Today I am quick for rapid (and free) deliveries, careful delivery people, being creative -good for my mood, good for using up scraps (the party bags are red bags that individual packs of meat are delivered in, thoroughly washed yesterday, then hung on the line inside out, brought in last night and pegged on my bedroom curtains to dry, I have glue and the remains of a large pack of gold stars in 3 sizes), using what I have (but catering for my new daughter out law).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4 -

Been healthy eating for a week now and I've lost 4.25 lbs. Really pleased with that although I know it will slow down. Iceland order arrived today. Lots of chocolate for Himself and lots of fruit, veg and salad for me. I will have to up our food budget. Food deliveries, shopping locally in the little shops and butchers is more expensive but worth it, I think. And I'm sure that will a little settle in time as well. And the freezers and food cupboards are looking better because Himself is nowhere near bargains on chutney and other things that we don't really need.
Housewise, I have been very lax. I really need to get into that.
Weather looks like it's clearing up a bit.
Have a lovely weekend.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6
