Hope the turtles are keeping cool.
Nothing much to report, spent today on pressie bag, I really need to stock up on gift wrapping and cards.
Out tonight, friends birthday meal and a cheap one. Hope the gyms are half price in September to make up for eat out scheme.   Would love to just chill in the garden instead this evening feeling shattered in this heat.
Friend called around after work last night so by the time I had a few ciders with her, intention of doing any exercise was long forgotten.  Oops.
    Grateful for
Busy but productive day in work.
Remembered to book local zoo for Sunday with gkids.
Finding a coolish dress for work today.

It was so muggy here last night and again today. Himself and I were up at 3.30 am this morning watching the lightning in the distance. I think there could be more later on tonight.

I spent ages this morning trying to replace the lampshade on the overhead light in the bedroom. Even with a ladder I had difficulty doing it but I managed eventually. It's just plain but it matches the blind and the new bedding perfectly. I had intended to frame some postcards that we'd collected on our travels (lovely selection of Delft) and hang them but I was too shattered after the battle with the lampshade. Maybe tomorrow.

Bedding changed and washed and dried on the line. Ironing is for tomorrow as well. First thing before it gets too hot.

haven't a clue what to have for dinner. It's too hot.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Calling - my gym opened a few weeks ago, but I'm paying full whack, so don't hold your breath! I was given the option to keep my membership frozen, but I've not done that. It's a really new gym - only opened in the new year - and has ultra modern air-filtering aircon, reduced numbers (you have to book) and plenty of cleaning.

Today I am grateful for my gym and that I have the means to pay for it and get there and make the most of it, for the paddling pool, for dh maybe having some extra work from now on, for dd clearing out even more books, for motivating podcasts.

Apologies for my absence recently - both of my parents have been ill (not with COVID or even the same thing), plus I am struggling in the heat which is still much cooler than many of you are having to deal with.
I am grateful for the discovery of a right angled screwdriver meaning that my decorating and DIY can recommence
Sorry I haven't got much else to say except just keep on keeping on, look after yourselves and relax as much as you can. Stay safe.
