Thanks I think I will if that happens. The background to this is that the house is rented by the council to a lady with three children. She lives a bit of a chaotic life. Please don't think this is the normal here. Her first daughter's father has been in jail for violent offences, don't know who the second girl's father is and she went to Turkey and came back pregnant with the third. The children are really lovely if they are given the time and attention they need. However she hasn't lived in the house for years because she lives with her mother who is apparently poorly. But on and off she has let other people live there. Mostly it hasn't been a problem but still not right because, to be honest, I think the rent and council tax is being paid by the council (she doesn't have a job) and someone who could really do with the house is being prohibited from living there. Recently she has let a young boy, probably in his mid to late teens live there and there are people going at all hours of the night. I (and, I have to say the other neighbours) are suspicious that there could be drugs involved. I really hate to do something if I'm wrong but I am thinking that I have to pluck up the courage to get the authorities to look into it. I would really hate to be seen as a busy body but? The neighbours here are brilliant. Really the salt of the earth and I would hate to do anything that causes reprisals. I really don't trust these guys . I think they are basically thugs but if you don't do something?
Yes, thinking about it I have to contact the council and say I'm concerned, Bit scary though.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Today I am grateful for dh looking sad when I did not want to go for a run. I was being lazy, I was so glad I went for the run. For managing 3km, for a lovely cool bath when it was all over, for aquafaba meringues, and fruit salad. For the motivation to be dieting again, and for those scales to finally be moving again.

Spent an hour and a half in the garden yesterday evening, which meant I was fit for nothing this morning. Showered and spent most of the day watching tv and sewing. Have done 3 lavender bags and had one with the front done and am part way through sewing one side and the top. All those four will need inner bags making ans filling with lavender and then putting inside the decorated bags and sewn up but it's progress and is using up lots of bits. Have cooked a leg of lamb this afternoon (intended for New Year's Day dinner but may have some before then). Will be sliced and put away in meal sized packages. Tomorrow's dinner will be accompanied by new potatoes and runner beans (green and purple) from the garden (possibly broccoli too).
Once the weather cooled off I went and did another stint in the garden. The frame for the swing seat now has plastic mesh suspended from the top rail (held in place by twine in a rather neat half cross stitch pattern), four large tubs on one side and 3 on the other with any gaps filled with 2 l bottles cut off at the top of the wide part - all filled with climbing bean seeds (only one in the bottles) which can be eaten either fresh or dried (should only take 10 - 12 weeks, possibly less and we should have that length of reasonable weather). The tubs of dwarf beans with go behind them (netting will cover the triangular frame) and going to do something with white metal tubs at the front - maybe chinese cabbage as have about 4 different ones with attractive leaves.
Seeds were set off mid-week, winter pansies, salad leaves etc and will be setting stuff off in every possible space or container - can accommodate a few cabbages in spaces (need to make more cabbage collars) and will be looking through all my new and remnant seeds to see which can be set off now (planning to grow/ grow on some things in the polytunnel and the house). There are more dwarf beans that can go outside and more spaces will be available as crops are harvested. New seeds (bought in sets) include heritage vegetables, Italian cooking ingredients and Chinese ingredients (some veg/ some herbs and spices).
Watched a film with mum this evening (continued sewing). Today I am grateful for getting things done, beautiful lamb (only had a tiny piece but smells gorgeous), easy food, getting a load of washing done (not gone outside though), managing some fun amidst lots of work.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Hello Turtles
Hope we're all successfully staying hydrated in this weather. We're down to 18 degrees here today so much cooler thankfully but I know it's still too warm elsewhere. Another awful night of sleep though because it's hot overnight.
Managing to get on a bit with getting tasks done - I've reached the half way point with my wardrobes. Definitely am going to need to buy more covering though - I thought I'd been smart measuring and calculating, but I wasn't...
Got up this morning and went and watered my few plants, fed the cats, washed some dishes and had a shower. Then ran the hoover round quickly and swept the floors downstairs. Just small annoying jobs but all off the list. Still forgot to hang my washing out though
Went to see my mam for lunch and a catch up which has been lovely, and now I'm planning on spending time with the kids and doing a bit of crochet while the ever energetic kitten barrels about the living room. Tomorrow I really need to think about getting on with the last bits of painting and decorating I still need to do... that's been on the list for a little while now.Not giving up

Today I am grateful for having copious amounts of water to drink (think we nearly doubled your temperature, ccl!), for washing and drying 3 loads of laundry, for dd playing out with some other kids + a football, for a c0lumb0 I hadn't seen before, for t'interweb and all its wonderful shananigans.

Evening all, it's still so hot here! 24° at the moment and it's 9pm. Yesterday went for a walk and then OH and I went to a car show (socially distanced). I also bought a couple of bits from my list online (essential oils that I use to make diffusers and a second hand book).
Today I worked out before it got too hot then went to see my share horse. Was too hot to ride so just gave him a hose down which we both enjoyed I think! Rest of the day has mainly been watching TV and reading. Did buy a bottle of wine as fancied something with dinner so no NSD today either but it's all within budget.
Looks like the next couple of days are meant to be just as hot here, I appreciate the sunshine but not when it's this hot as all my windows are south facing so our house is like an oven! Think my rabbits have the best of it, I give them iced bottles of water to lay against all day which they love.5
