NSD No 4 yesterday.
It was hot here but not anything like other places. Very dull this morning but I don't think it will rain.
Got a long, long list of household things to do plus a couple of frogs I'd like to see to. Waiting for a delivery which should have come by Royal Mail on Saturday but didn't appear.
Better get on.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4 -
Mostly lurking at the moment. Am grateful for getting half way though weight loss - 6 kg in 3 months and only 0.8 BMI from not being overweight if you know what I mean and this will be good for my confidence and for my health!
Am grateful for last week of holiday where I can do what I want - probably not much to be honest. I have lost my house and gardening mojo, so will probably just kind of linger and see what happens.
Will eventually catch up on reading.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Happy Monday Turtles.Feeling heaps better yesterday and today, just done my own thing all weekend and felt so chilled out.Met a friend for a chat up drink Saturday afternoon, which made me laugh so much I was nearly crying. Portuguese friend telling me, couldn't go to the visitors space centre because needed a pray book where in fact he meant you had to pre book. So much gets lost in translation hehe.Sunday stayed at home, well went for a walk, and borrowed neighbours hedge cutter. So much easier than doing it manually but my back was aching last night, it was quite heavy and why I had to do it in that heat, Little doze on sunlounger and tidy up house evening. NSDToday being naughty meeting DD and GD for a 2 course meal out, looking forward to not having to cook. Early dining as granddaughter only 3.Grateful forFeeling wellNot had as high temperatures here. Hugs to those in need of them.
Am on 8/20 nsds.
Am trying to achieve things everyday. Did declutter a small amount of items to charity shop today. Did find 2 items recently in the flat which I had misplaced whilst sorting out a few things in the flat. St. Anthony came to my rescue again. My Mum always prayed to him for when I misplaced things. Have dealt with a few frogs. The voluntary work tester session and other training that I attended made me think again about them. Not suited for me. Was worth a try. I am doing 3 hours voluntary work tomorrow, which is a one off. Think I will not commit to ongoing voluntary work, but several one day voluntary work throughout the year when the opportunity arises. I am thinking of my long term goal again, which is to move to another area. Am not happy with where I live. Will make small goals to help me along the way. Would love to move into a bungalow.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20136 -

NSD No 5 yesterday.
Got quite a lot ticked of my list but still loads to go. Why is it when you do something you see another three things that need done?
Really heavy rain here just now. Better get on.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.3 -
Spent £188 on kids shoes yesterday - and still have another 4 pairs to get... and this is just on the 2 smallest! NSDs in Aug will be pitiful as I am getting all the back to school stuff from various places plus back to uni stuff for DS1. Thankfully DD has no needs yet! It's also our anniversary and best friend's 50th bday this month so that's more spends. However, as long as we can afford it all I am not going to be concerned with no of nsds. Although the level of spends this month does mean some will be from savings pots - 2 lots of car tax also due at end of month plus 2 mots by mid Sept... (and already had to pay for DS2's annual school.bus pass this month and rent for DS1's uni accom...)
No exercise since Sat so will rectify that shortly - waiting for headache to clear before doing so. Did manage 10k steps yesterday

It's a hot humid day here. Finally opened the window in the office as noisy tree surgeon outside all morning, my fan just been circulating hot air.Had a nice meal out last night, long wait, we just timed it badly well over an hour with a tired 3yr old. However it was so cheap and the food was amazing. Will go back when its not so busy. Plus point my daughter paid so a NSD for me.Today need some green veg and salad stuff plus a birthday pressie for a friend. Find I am eating not a lot in the day in this heat, small salad and fruit. If I can moderate my evening meals I may loose weight. No exercise yesterday however.Greent - thats a lot of money on shoes yikes. I have my car insurance due so need to have a shop around. Otherwise saving quite well as I can't get any trades to do the jobs I want until October! I must try harder ;-)Grateful forBest melt in your mouth chips last night. My 7ft Sunflower is now smiling away.My credit card balance down from 13k ro £100 after todays payment - yeah light at the end of a long fraught tunnel.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/226

Busy couple of days for me - an hour and a half in the garden means lots of bits not working/ hurting the next day (it is muscular pain from the work, not more putative arthritis. Think the weather is getting to me - suddenly feeling tearful for no reason. Wrote a to do list yesterday and thought "well that should be enough for the month' but did make quite a bit of progress. Highlights, auditing both freezers, mostly tidying my room (some is on the bed as getting it off the floor is the worst bit so sat in a chair and picked everything within arm's reach into a large bag for life - still have to go through it but can do it sitting on the bed when I can't manage anything else), quite a lot of garden 'tidying' - weeding, sweeping, collecting and sorting various sizes of containers (lots of 2 l bottle parts and yoghurt pots), planted more brassicas in spaces were the previous ones had been eaten or bolted, more non-perishables brought in from the shed.
More to do but definitely need to wait until it cools down (will carry on with my room and packing away bits in the freezer).
Today I am grateful for showers, bed, decent bedding (organic cotton sheets), good books, good games and good series to watch, suncream, sun hat, music (Gil Scott-Heron which I thought would be disheartening but it was uplifting - like Tony Benn said, "it's not one battle, you fight the same fight over and over again). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4
