Tenth Anniversary 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Debt-free and Proud!
I'm surviving by cuddling a 2 l bottle of water fresh out of the fridge. I am also throwing myself in the shower every now and then and letting my own body heat dry me. Have cooked 2 packs of sausages (all divided and frozen now) and made a quiche with chorizo and sweetcorn, had more to do but was too hot. I've brought all the remaining food (tins, crackers and 'condiments - passata, soy sauce etc) from the shed. More tins and pasta into the kitchen (spare cupboard space from parting with gadgetry) and took the last few tins out of the 'soupery' to start building a new stack. A little bit of garden tidying and quite a bit in my room but limited by how long I can cope with wearing a dress (yard is enclosed but I thin some of the 2-storey houses could see bits of the yard).

Have ordered mine and mum's pills and requested a district nurse to come out and take both our bloods and check on the ulcer on mum's leg (think I've fixed it but would like it confirmed). I also asked about flu jabs but the receptionist said they didn't have a date for their arrival. The doctor has to okay sending someone out and then will pass the relevant paperwork on to the district nurses who will contact us to say when they are coming. It just makes more sense to me for someone (one person) to come here rather than putting us both at risk, especially mum, by making multiple visits to the infirmary.  Ordered more face masks including 4 (in different colours to the ones I have) for mum to wear.

Sky is grumbling but no rain. We've had a bit of a breeze (left all the doors and most windows open to let it flow) but still not cool enough to work outside. Today I am grateful for finding small places to put things, for getting some jobs done by pottering and plodding, for a good game and a good book (another 'first in the series' that I'm trying out)

My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
