Thank you everyone xx
It's all a bit confusing. Work said self isolate for 14 days but can go back to work before that if swab test is negative. Government website says 7 days. I knew loss of smell and taste was a symptom. I didn't know loss or CHANGE in taste and / or smell was on the list. I've let the people that I saw yesterday know what's going on. We were all socially distanced, but I thought it only fair. All hell broke loose - and I went through the 'I wish I'd kept my mouth shut' phase again. They should self isolate until I have my test results: if it's negative everyone can go back to normal; if it's positive they have to complete the 14 days isolation. This includes DS and GF. I am no-one's favourite person right now. Pretty sure if people had access to holy water they'd be throwing it at me :-( I can only take comfort in the fact that I have been very cautious and stuck to the rules. I'm not sure how anyone can not do something yesterday in case they are ill today.
Anyway I have gathered up the cans for recycling that were taking a stroll around the back garden and secured them in a carrier bag which is securely wedged between the watering can and the recycling box.
Not sure where the rest of the afternoon went - fielding phone calls mostly.

Round - basically it's 14 days if you've been in contact with someone but have no symptoms.
It's 7 days if you have symptoms.

round.. way too much hysteria going on and scaremongering.. its ridiculous. Meem and I have a raging cold and DD1 has a chest infection. The symptoms are all so normal for many illnesses.. tbh, unless I was truly proper poorly dead I wouldn't bother testing again, it was just annoying more than anything else.. unless you are seriously ill it is that underwhelming it isn't worth the bother given how many have/had it without realising. With 3 people working in the pub any pretence at 'social distancing' is utterly pointless.. not that I am a sociable sort anyway.
GAH!!.... So much .. nose activity.. Must drug it.. AF turned up today too so I think I may be fit for the bin!
Everyone fed and watered.. thinking I might run the bath and fling small girls in it..
Packing started.. and I wrote a list, love a list..
DW loaded and run
WM x4 .. 2 hung out
DD2 brought 10 million bags of stuff here, she has left her flat and is going to stay at a friends for a month so I have her stuff until October.. some can go in the shed but the rest I have no idea.. it might end up on the cupboards on the landing so it isn't cluttering up the middle room which has been DS1's bedroom for a year nearly.
Drugs.. bath.. bed time.. knitting... that may be my evening..

Scrap that.. I had drugs, vacuumed the landing and a few stairs the loo and bits of bedroom.. DD2 brought more garbage round so now I have to empty the cupboard under the stairs of my neatly boxed stuff to ran her binbags of stuff in because it is all currently piled on DS1's 'bed' (my middle room) so he has nowhere to sleep.. hoping he is staying out tonight!!!

Hi all, its very confusing Round, my assistant had a cough but no other symptoms and was told to take a test which was negative, so I said she could go back to work which is what the text message said. Site meeting this morning then home to do more paid stuff, shepherds pie made, upstairs dusted and hoovered, yet another Zoom meeting, bedtime soon.8

Fairly productive team effort today:
- bread machine and DW put on as I made the morning cuppa.
- I did seemingly huge wudupa while Mr N washed 2 bicycles and a motorbike.
- I continued re-homing clutter that shouldn't have been in the kitchen. Took everything off 2 windowsills to clean them with both anti-bac and then granite polish. Re-potted 2 of the windowsill plants. Watered the rest.
- Mr N changed bedlinen and did 2 loads of washing.
- between us we dismantled the fruit cage, folded and stored the netting. I picked the remaining gooseberries so I think it could be Ionafan's German gooseberry cake tomorrow, if I can handle the calories.
- washed masks.
- watered greenhouse and hanging baskets.
- filled bird feeders.
- I went for a run while Mr N had his biker mates' Zoom chat. Had planned a partially new, long run but realised after a while that my legs were aching and I was still tired from the last few days' exercise. Still achieved 9.1km but really tired now and trying not to think of the 18mile round trip cycle to visit MIL tomorrow.
- various phone calls.
Kitchen not entirely finished but certainly looks better. Yes, I know I'm already a day behind.....
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Round... come visit me.. I don't give a hoot if you've got the bubonic plague or leprosy or anything.. so long as no headlice I'm quite happy!
