Wonga refund has cleared in my account - thats all mine done and dusted!0
-
Been buried under a pile of paperwork for the Ombudsman and sending countless emails with countless attachments between my email accounts to forward to an adjudicator for the last three hours.
My cases are very complex (most of mine were unaffordable due to serious ill health and of course they want proof) but I seem to have put a heck of a lot of hard work in and I'm not sure whether it will pay off yet- I seem to have done a lot and only got £121 back! However the PDUK and Express ones are worth 3k in total alone- MyJar about 400, and WDA is unknown but must be at least 400- MoneyShop is still with them but despite lack of statements I seem to think it must be a couple of K. If I won all these it would be worth just under 7k but the pessimist in me reckons I'm not going to get a penny!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
Be patient Mrs Ryan, you will soon be rewarded for all your hard work.0

Payday Express asking me for £1 for a statement of accounts. What do I do here?0

Well done Boatdweller, :T:beer:0

It is a delaying tactic, send them a pound if you need the statement of accounts. You will most likely be awarded your pound back by the FOS.:cool:0

I am in awe of what you have all achieved and the redress you have been able to claim from these horrible unethical companies.
I started with PDLs in 2010 after being made redundant from my job of 32 years. I used Wonga, PaudayUK, Quickquid and probably a couple of others. I wasn't in work at the time and was on Job Seekers Allowance. I borrowed from one to pay another each month and rolled over lots of times.
Eventually I got a new job and paid everything off but I had to enter into a DMP to repay CC debt and my credit history was littered with defaults .
I really don't know where to start with claims and have no idea how much interest I have paid, I don't have account numbers or amounts but estimate interest alone would be thousands.
Do I just email the companies and request a refund without providing them with any details ?
I have been contacted by a company who say they will deal with my claims on a no win no fee basis but they want 30% of any refund.0 -
Hi chipsmum
Take a look at the debtcamel website, it has a section about pay day loans and steps on how to make a complaint.
You can start by email.any of the lenders you had loans with and asking them to send you a history of the loans you had with them0
