Here's a question! I ordered my bank statements from Barclays and they arrived this morning. They don't make pleasant reading
there were several entries I didn't recognise- the Fortress Group and several with just a sort code and account number. The Fortress Group it seems became Sunny via several name changes, but I'm puzzled about the others. I'm pretty sure they're payday loans but anyone any idea how I can find out which ones? Thanks
EDIT- it's MyJar. I had a suspicion but it would appear to match the statement they sent.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
That's brillant News ! Well done. Can I ask how long you have waited for Wonga to make a decision regarding your refund ?? I'm on week 110

Looking for a little advice, I sent Lending Stream an email regarding affordability a couple of weeks ago and have received the following response.Dear aNom,

Can anyone advise if this complaint falls under a SAR request, or if they're just playing silly beggars?
Thanks!0 -
Hi aNom, you are after a statement of accounts only, tell them if they do not provide a statement of accounts and a final response to your complaint within 8 weeks from the start of your complaint, you will be escalating to the FOS.:cool:0

Common mistake on your part, and common delaying tactics on there's.
All you have to do is send a written complaint to the lender stating all loans were unaffordable for whatever reason applies to you.
Don't ask for information, just a refund of interest and charges, plus statutory interest at 8%.
Make them do all the donkey work.

Thanks both, I thought I had made my email clear but I've now confirmed that it is a complaint and that I expect to receive their final decision by June 11th (8 weeks from when I made the complaint)0

Haven't posted on here for a while, but just wanted to share that last week i received a letter from Dollar UK saying that their internal review had identified that I was entitled to a refund of around £470, and this will be paid automatically on 10/05. The loans were from 2014, and were small amounts, but some were extended, and the bulk of this refund is made up of these extension fees. I was very happy to read that!0

This will be one of my last updates. Hopefully this will be encouragement to anyone who hasn't put their complaints in yet, or who has been knocked back by the lenders and are wondering whether to go to the FOS:
First complaints were raised with the lenders in Oct 2015. Total 14 complaints raised.
4 were upheld directly by the lenders and the cash was received quickly.
The other 10 were escalated to the FOS:
4 out of 10 have been upheld by the adjudicator and payment has been received.
3 out of 10 were rejected by the adjudicator (after initially upholding the complaint) - these have been escalated to an ombudsmen for a final decision. I'm confident these will be overturned.
3 out of 10 are still being investigated - but I should have resolutions soon.
Amount received so far - £5,326
Accounts removed from credit file - 52 (including 2 defaults)
Amount of FOS fees incurred by the lenders - £5,500
Everyone is a winner! (except the scumbag payday lenders). Lets hope these total cowboys lose everything they have.0 -
FINALLY got a final response from Wonga... they've upheld my complaint for 3 out of 11 loans, and offered me £760. i had worked out it would be nearly £1100 if all 11 had been upheld, but the other 8 were small value (less than £100 paid back within the week), so i'm going to accept there offer.
thank you so much ginger ice for posting this originally, i would have know to complain! Got nearly £1300 back from these scumbags!!0
