Response from FO today regarding 247moneybox she is recommending they refund all interest and charges for 16/20 loans. They now have until 22nd April to respond although they haven't yet provided any evidence to the FO of my loans despite repeated requests from her.
  • Received a 4 page letter from WageDayAdvance today, saying NO! They have said that they did not do a credit check because they did not have to do one!!! Really!? Is this the case?
Wonga asked for the standard 4 extra weeks. And all the others time is up! So off to the FOS I go!

Just the two for me, SlowQuid and PDFCUK, Top two !!!!!!.
  • Good Afternoon All

Just thought I would post an update on all the lenders I have written to and the progress:

MyJar: £388 outstanding written off, £175.08 refund into bank account.
    Lending Stream: £1122 written off.
QuickQuid: Offered to write off outstanding balance of £580 in full, have sent them back a counter offer and awaiting a response.
Wonga: As with everyone else they have requested an additional 4 weeks.
PaydayUK: Today offered me £361, I was requesting £738, might accept this as otherwise it will drag on for weeks if not months.
Payday Express: Email received stating they cannot reply within 8 weeks, now with FOS.
Wage Day Advance: Not heard anything at all yet, 7 weeks in
Sunny: Not heard anything either, 6 weeks in
Uncle Buck: Not heard anything, 3 weeks in
    Vivus: 2 outstanding loans written off, £260.34 & £310.34
Peachy: Rejected my complaint within a day, FOS also rejected my complaint and found in favour of Peachy within 11 days.

Also have 2 outstanding overdrafts with Halifax, these have been with debt collection companies for a while, one was for £2875 and the other was for £775. Complained to them using exact same letter as sent to these payday loan companies, Halifax responded and agreed to write off the £775 overdraft, leaving the £2875.

All in all pretty happy but a long way to go yet!

Sent a large bundle of stuff off to FOS re MyJar today. As well as the charges refund, I'm claiming £25 for copies of the medical evidence that they claimed not to have received (convenient) and I had to get copies of from the doctor. This is the same Doctor who refused to write Lowell a letter confirming my conditions as she said 'they're awful people who prey on the vulnerable and scare them into submission and should be shut down' She said the same thing about MyJar so only charged me a nominal fee but it should have been £25.

Lending Stream, Sunny and I'm sure someone else have about another week then it's FOS with them. Have requested Money Shop issue Final Response ASAP as I'm so chuffed off with them and badly want to take them to FOS. I really have no interest in any offer they make I just want them fined

I'm very tempted to fire an email off to Very.... they were constantly uping my credit limit and sending me buy now pay next year offers, and as a student at the time, and being very materialistic, i fell for it all, and ended up taking out my first pay day loan to pay the very direct debit :(
