I spoke to Wonga today and the lady basically said they are only dealing with cases through the Ombudsman now. I have therefore referred to the FO after only 2 weeks.

Interesting - I think i'll give them a call too, see if I get the same response. Surely that looks badly on them that they've not responded to a complaint within the time scales they have been set?

Got a reply from !!!!!!!!!!!!! after 3 and a bit weeks which wasn't too bad!

I currently have loans with an outstanding balance totally around 1050 with them. They offerred to reduce that by 670, leaving just over 400 to pay.

I have paid them over 1200 in interest across the loans I have had with them.

Their main point was that Experian Credit Checks had shown a score of above 680 on each occassion. I have subsequently supplied them a copy of my Experian Credit Report (which I have subscribed to since 2011 so have all my scores back to then) and none of them have been above 400 since I entered the PDL Cycle.

I have sent them more information too and asked for a further review of that.

Already feeling positive thanks to this thread though :)

Just a quick update regarding my friend. She took her complaint to the FOS. She has been informed today that she has been offered just over £1300 from QQ which she has accepted.

She never defaulted on the loans and always repaid them but it took some luck in getting money to pay the final loan off and not borrow again, this was 2 years ago. Her loans were from 2011 to 2014.

Good luck to everyone else travelling the same route.

Cheers for the info Sambuca9, Vital that we here positive results from the main Predator QQ, you would think by now QQ would work with customers on resolving complaints without FOS involvement as it costs QQ every time the FOS get involved. It is bad management and I think a few heads may roll in the near future.:T:rotfl:
  • Quick quid are clearly loosing their marbles
Sent me a final response with so much incorrect information I had to Laugh.
Oh well sent to the FO now
    Detest them even more now

Well, just spoke to Wonga, they have requested an extra 4 weeks in order to deal with the complaint - so slightly different to the response another poster got. I think I'll give them the 4 weeks and see what happens.
  • This is the response I just got from QQ... Anyone have any ideas on where to go from here?

Thank you for contacting QuickQuid. We have received your complaint, however, under DISP 2.8.2(R), a complainant has six years from an event to complain of the event. Upon our initial investigation, we determined that the event you are complaining of (i.e. the funding of a loan) occurred more than six years ago and thus under the law we must respectfully reject your complaint.

As this is our Final Response regarding your concerns to the above referenced account, if you are not happy with this outcome I need to ensure that you are aware of the ultimate availability of the Financial Ombudsman Service.

You have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, free of charge but you must do so within six months of the date of this letter. If you do not refer your complaint in time, the Ombudsman will not have our permission to consider your complaint and so will only be able to do so in very limited circumstances. For example, if the Ombudsman believes that the delay was as a result of exceptional circumstances. I have provided you with a link to the leaflet for your information to assist you if you decide to pursue this further course of action. They can be contacted at::mad:

    Hi all.

New to this forum, some excellent results i see.

A few weeks ago i got a random email from Wonga, saying they owed me a massive £3.03. Ha!

I thought well thats a bit strange, so googled Wonga refunds and stumbled across DebtCamel (brilliant site) I have now sent off complaints to Wonga, QuickQuid and Mr Lender. I paid over 2k Interest all together. Lending from one to pay the other, paying one then immediately getting another, always paying late fees, rolling over, only paying the interest then getting another. QuickQuid also classed me as a 'platinum member' and upped my loan amount to £900 on a £1100 wage!!! Wonga would take mulitple amounts from my bank in the same day if I didn't have enough in my bank so they would take random amounts until I had nothing in. I ended up setting a repayment plan with Wonga, once that was paid they let me take another loan (Stupid of me also, I know) I have all my old bank statements (Some months with over £1000 in loans on a £1100 wage) and my credit score is terrible. I think I have a good case all in all.

    Good luck to everyone.
