Hi Jules43, I would get a complaint in asap without knowing the figures as the PDL are now delaying doing anything. You may be waiting 8 weeks for a statement of accounts, so get your complaints in by E-Mail or however method you wish to. Good luck and the Key word is Patience!!!!!!!!

My first complaint hit the 8 week mark yesterday and received the final response from 247 Moneybox rejecting my complaint.

One interesting thing they included were figures they say I provided in the application (genuinely cannot remember if I did):

    netpay = 1247
    Mortgage/rent = 250
    Credit commitments = 550
    Other outgoings = 100

    Free cashflow: £347
    Loan amount advanced: £150

Is there an argument that these figures are weird (low rent, low outgoings, high credit commitments) and should have been investigated before providing the loan? Or even just saying £550 in credit commitments already shows financial difficulty in itself!

Apologies for bumping, but any thoughts on this? Is it worth mentioning in the complaint to the Ombudsman?

Hi Debtwoes, just put your complaint in to the FOS and just give information that the FOS ask for, make it as easy as possible for you.

MyJar have really chuffed me off. I'm going to phone the FOS tomorrow, I've in the meantime sent MyJar an annoyed email in response to the very patronising email they sent me. I've sent emails also to Sunny and Lending Stream reminding them they have two weeks left before I go to FOS. I'm not even going there with PDUK and Express! Wage Day Advance emailed me a few days ago to say they're aware I'm still waiting so I'll give them their two weeks that are left.

I advise anyone with complaints against QQ and PDUK to contact the FOS after 8 weeks because they do not respond with a Final Response as they state in their E-Mails. You will most likely be awarded extra compensation for distress, these two PDL think they are above any laws and are pushing their luck with the FOS. In the words of Gordon Ramsey " Shut it Down "

Thanks for this. My eight weeks is up at the end of this week and I was going to fire off an email later in the week but may now do it today so that as soon as it hits eight weeks can send it off.

    Good Morning all,

I have been following this thread for a while and finally bit the bullet and contacted all the payday loan companies that I have had dealings with last week.

I had a response from Peachy straightaway stating they did not lend to me irresponsibly blah, blah, blah - standard response. I replied with all the dates and figures that they've sent me historically and explained I didn't feel they had done a full investigation. This morning I have had an email stating that although they feel they have handled my account correctly they are willing to write off my outstanding balance but they will not be refunding any interest. Should I accept this or take the matter to the FOS?

    Thanks :)
  • QQ, I keep getting an email back from QQ saying Mackenzie hall have your information, I keep replying saying yes for the last loan only, not the previous 20-30 I had with you before that one went rogue, they just keep insisting I contact Mackenzie Hall, is it even worth persuing them or shall I just go straight to FOS? thanks.

I'm still waiting on resonses from Wonga, poundstillpayday... although Myjar said it will look into my accounts ang get back to me if it feels I was treated unfairly etc etc... all I did was ask them for a statement of accounts I never even suggested making a claim....

8 weeks up for Wonga and no response so have given them a chaser, I'm assuming they'll ask for another 4 weeks, not sure if I should just head straight to FO or give them a chance.

I have emailed for an update, and will call them today.

Quickquid and P2P gave up responding altogether and have missed their 8 week promise.

Both reported today to the FOS :)
