    Hello
Great to hear that many people are having success from these companies

I myself have had great success in getting refunds but i do have a query regarding cash genie

Long story short i complained end of last year due to the redress scheme and got a refund of £160 i then out of the blue in January 2016 received an email from cash genie stating they had gone into liquidation and that i had over paid on my loan, how i dont know as i had received a refund, anyway i then emailed as the email stated to confirm my details and had no reply so phoned the number which took 3 days to get through, eventually i did and was told to wait 12 months for a cheque, i asked how much it was for and no one knew and said they dont know at the moment but will receive in 12 weeks, i didnt receive it so i emailed and they said by the end of March i will receive it, anyway i still havent received anything and despite sending several emails to the customer redress email, managers emails and cash genie no one has got back to me not even to tell me how much it is for

It is annoying me now that i am not even getting a reply and i cant get through on the phone

It is now over 12 weeks and i still havent heard anything, any one got any suggestions?

As anyone received the same email or letter back in January?

    Any advice greatly appreciated

    thanks

Had a call from the FOS, he seems really keen to uphold my complaint, but just needs more evidence, ie bank statements, so off to town tomorrow to try and get those, and hopefully it'll swing my way.

Success with PDUK they are writing off my balance of £388 and giving me £400 in compensation. Just 247moneybox left to respond to the FO now. I'm on week 20 now!

Does Wonga reply to anyone else's emails? I'm constantly having to chase for updates on the phone because they just seem to not want to respond to emails. I think I'll give them one extra week before taking it up with the FO

I have just sent my complaint letter to Wonga as I was fed of waiting for them to complete my Sar. Luckily they emailed me every payment that was due. I worked out with all borrowing added up this came to around 15k. interest and charges came to 3200 and 8% interest this comes to around 3400. I consistently borrowed from wonga for over 3 years. I have asked for all charges and interest to be refunded I have stated they have 8 weeks to reply to my letter along side all entries for wonga on my credit report to be removed. time to see how they play ball. just asking for a SAR has been a drawn out process from them emailing me to send over a copy of my driving licence to them which I refused as they had no issue adding the debts to my credit file.

If you want a quick response from Wonga, Inbox them on Facebook/Twitter.

I have waited over a week for my Statement of account, without even an acknowledgement email. Inboxed them on Facebook about this, they replied within 10 minutes asking for my email, then within an hour I had my statement of account via email.

For all those people who have had historic payday loans with offshore lenders, such as swift sterling (Northway financial).

There has been an update on the Debt camel website.
One or two people have had partial refunds, I stress, only one or two cases so far, and that has been done on the basis of a "goodwill gesture" with strictly no admission of any liability.

Most complaints are still dismissed, or ignored completely.

You can register a complaint through the Maltese financial services authority, however they do not have any scope to order any form of redress, even if they find in your favour, so its still hit and miss unfortunately.

I am very happy to report my first success :j Lending Stream have come back and offered all traces of all three loans wiped plus the interest on the last loan refunded. It's only £72 but I'm going to accept as I'm desperately short of cash at the moment. I think this one was the smallest anyway so I see no point in stringing it out for another hundred or so.
Just need to call Barclays and ask them if the account they have is still usable and I shall email LS back :)

Has any body noticed a increase in e-mails from loan companies since you complained, I have been bombarded by offers from every PDL and loan company apart from QQ and PDUK who my complaints are with.???????????????
